Oh your god:

As the god known as Katyn and Uchi faced off, Skriz was finding it hard not to interfere. Almost as soon as the fight had begun, Skriz couldn't restrain himself and started towards where Uchi and Katyn were fighting.

   However Skriz found himself pulled down into a sitting position by someone beside him. Skriz looked to see Obelisk chewing some kind of white snack covered in butter.

"Skriz this isn't your fight just sit and watch."

"Obelisk you can't be serious, that's a god he's facing as I'm sure you are well aware off. I must help him"

   Obelisk offered Skriz some of the buttered snack, "I told you this is not your fight", Obelisk sighed,"You might as well enjoy it"
 
   Skriz looked disgusted at the idea of enjoying it and couldn't understand why Obelisk was so calm about it. Obelisk just sighed again, "Everything will always turn out for the best, just trust me Skriz", Obelisk looked up towards the sky as in great thought.

   Skriz gave up with the argument and turned his attention back to the fight which appeared to be ending. Skriz jumped up as he saw Uchi get knocked back with the force of a blow Katyn had just delivered to Uchi. The god didn't look to good either but Skriz wasn't to concerned about her. He seemed to be standing just fine but it was obvious that Uchi was near feignting. He was dripping blood onto the floor where a puddle was forming quickly.

   The god exchanged a few words with Uchi that Skriz couldn't hear. She appeared to be trying to heal Uchi but he was refusing. As Uchi refused a second time she picked up the broken remains of the sword that Skriz had given Uchi. She tossed the sword at Uchi's feet then jumped into the volcano. Skriz looked to his side to see if Obelisk was still there but he had gone.

   Skriz jumped up since Obelisk wasn't restraining him anymore and rushed towards Uchi who had collapsed on the floor. "Dangit Uchi why can't you be made of earth so I can heal you... Medic!, someone get a medic!"

Not my best writing but I think it explains why Skriz didn't interfere anyways even without Uchi's consent. Check Akroma's post for the actual fight.

- Obelisk views the Dracans as his children.

Morphology
- Dracans are a lizard race that could be described as smaller dragons. Being made from the earth itself  Dracans can withstand being in lava but
only for a time. Their large wings give them the gift of flightmaking high mountain Fortress perfect for them. A larger lung size than most creatures
allows them to fly for a great time along with to great heights. In times of battle these wings would fold onto the warriors back to keep them from
harms way. *seems I forgot to mention earlier that they are humanoids, dragons in human form*

- Hero: Skriz - All but a master at bending earth he is capable of shifting earth even in the worst of conditions. Even if he is getting
         on in years he devotes his time to developing new ways for Earth bending to be used weather for war or for economic use.
        His ability with a Dracan staff is impressive as well as he uses the Dracans natural agility and earthbending capabilities in lethal
       doses in combat.

- Dracans use a type of caste system. Obelisk - Earth Lord - Dracan Elite - Soldier - Smiths - Peasant
   The Earth Lords: are chosen by Obelisk for their experience in fighting and strategics
   along with their overwhelming ability to bend the earth.

   Dracan Elite: rise up the ranks by showing an amazing ability to fight well even against
   overwhelming odds. It's been known for the Elite to be able to take on 100 Dracan soldiers
   without a knick on him. However the Dracan died shortly after of exhaustion.
   They also possess to a smaller extent the ability to bend the earth like the Lords.

   Soldier: These fighters rain death upon their foes from above with crossbows or on the battlefield
   with their unique weapons. A basic wooden staff with a blade attached to each end. This is the standard
   weapon for both Elites and Soldiers.

   Smiths: These are the Dracans that as the name implies smiths the weapons for the military.
   Using their earthbending to pull pure iron from the earth and formed into the traditional twin bladed staff.
   They also build boats and other buildings.

   Peasants: On the lower end of the caste are the peasants who grow food for the military. Using what little
   earthbending they have, they are able to make extremely productive farms.

- Dracans as a Race just want to expand and endure.
- Obelisk is known to walk among his race's capital. However he does not demand that his people worship him, only that
  they treat him as one of their own.

Technology
- The ability to make Iron has been perfected while Steel is known to exist the process to make it has yet to be perfected.
  Seafaring is a well know trade among the Dracans since they are on an island as their own, their ability to fly has allowed them
  to become accomplished at the task since they are able to tell how the wind will flow by just glancing at the sky.

  Ships:
   Trader (Crew 4) : A small fast ship that skips accross the water bringing supplies and trade goods wherever it goes.
   Able to hold 12 warriors if neccessary.
   
   Transport (Crew : A military vessel that carries large amounts of troops across the water. Comes with a top that can open
   up so that troops can fly out quickly and swarm the enemy.
   Able to hold 32 warriors

   Ragnorak (Crew 12) : A ship made up of volcanic materials making it incredibly light. Large rocks are kept on board so they can
   be used as ammo for Earth Benders on board.
   Able to hold 64 warriors.
   
Magic & Divine Powers
- They have the ability to bend the earth to their will to varying degrees. It is different with each Dracan, it is thought that
   those that have a great command of the earth were forged with stronger materials than other Dracans. Also through their
   earth bending they are able to sense even the most minute tremors in the earth, showing the tall tale signs of an eruption or a far off army
   on the march.
-  Since Dracans are made of earth they are able to tolerate the extreme heat, and the extreme cold.

Arrival in the world
- They were brought upon the world by Obelisk after seeing many other gods influencing the world with their
   own races.
- They start with a population of 400.

Danalof headed to Arbaxis's lab. The second instructor wanted to show the old sage his newest experiment, one that had taken since the beginning of the month to achieve. As Danalof entered the room, Arbaxis was looking at something behind what seemed to be a glass screen. "Ah, Danalof, come see this," said Arbaxis without turning.

Danalof approached the glass and looked at what was behind it. It was... a shpere? A completely black sphere, emitting and reflecting absolutely no light. "Oh my, you captured one of those strange void vortexes that appeared during this month?"

"Yes, a 'black hole' i call it. It is quite interesting, I cant seem to replicate it exactly. It also seems to transport matter that comes into contact with it to somewhere else, although i havent been able to determine where exactly."

"Hmm... But I seem to barely see any flows around it. I'm guessing that's because of this glass seperating us from it?"

"It is for our own protection. The flows have to be contained, as they are quite powerful. But I can surpress this effect for a few moments so that you may study it." Arbaxis moves towards one of two levers on the nearby wall and pulls it, allowing Danalof to see the flows more clearly around the blackhole.

The glass starts to shake after a while. "Oh," says Arbaxis. "Its better if we dont keep it like that for long. I'll put the barrier back up." After saying that, he pulls a lever. "Now then, I was hoping you could let me have a student as an apprentice to study this- hey, Danalof? Were are you?"

Danalof had simply dissapeared. Arbaxis turned back to the levers on the wall. "Ah, I see. Wrong lever."

Just then, someone called from outside the lab, "Hey, Teacher, are you in there?"

"Yes, come in Masaru."

"Ah, sir Arbaxis. I was looking for sir Danalof-"

"He's gone. On a long trip, far away. He might be back someday, but until then, he asked that we just continue with our daily routines as usual. You come just in time, let's continue your lessons..."

Danalof comes back to his senses. "Uh, what happened? Oh... yes, I was sucked into that black hole... Were am I?"

Looking around, he notices he definitely isnt in Echogroth. Or anywhere he has ever been to, actually. Hallways to all sides, each leading to more and more hallways. A labyrinth??

Turning his eyes to the sky, Danalof can see the moon in the sky, with some clodws floating around. Suddenly, a twisted humanoid face appears, formed by stormclouds. "Hahaha, I am Ukko, god of storms. This will teach you to meddle in my affairs! HAHAHAHA..." The laughing face slowly fades and dissapears.

Cursing at the storm god, Danalof tries some divination and teleportation spells. It is of no use. Sighing, he summons Satori, and sets off into the twisted halls...

In the gods game room.

The game had been living a short term of peace after the annihilation of the Storm giants. But now it seemed a new conflict was forming, with the northern nations striking at the orcs, who had threatened the relatively peaceful Erithreans. The gods around the board looked with interest.
Yet another form apparated into the gameroom, apparently not one of the gods directly playing on the board. He, or more "It" was a hollow hooded robe, with only the blackened skull of a human hovering inside the hood.
It hovered near the gameboard and looked over it with interest. Slowly the creaking jaws of the skull opened.
"I dare say... You need something more down in that board..."
Without heeding the other gods inquiries, demands and downright refusals, He or it, produced a piece of its own and used somesort of telekinesis to drop it onto the board. It was a monster. Big one. And it certainly looked strange.

It patted the creature with an invisible finger and exclaimed to noone particular.

Somewhere in the eastern side of the mountainrange.

The rock cracked and creaked, and eventually, the ancient plateau, marked by some ancient civilization with some strange markings and warding stones, exploded in a shower of rock and dust. What had been a majestic landmark and a historic spot was now a crater of dust and boulders. As the dust faded, the lone badger surprised by the explosion was even more surprised by the huge clawed foot crushing it.
Khordad Shash sniffed the air and let his conscience wander around the surroundings, noting every detail.
So this is the world today?
It had changed a lot since the last sight, but not too much. The surroundings were still somewhat familiar, that mountain, if not a bit smaller. Erosion had been running rampart. Lots of thoughts and musings were filled in this moment, the dreams of millions of years fleeting away like... dreams.
One feeling washed over all homever, and so strongly it was not to be denied. He was hungry.

Khordad Shash could feel the strings of life, floating around in this world, everywhere he looked. Fleeting away and coming, like from under his right front leg. He could easily feel the concentrations of life, empires and cities, all around him, expect for the very northest regions. Two such promising ones were directly to the east and west.
He set off.

Summary of thoughts.
-Khordad Shash started at 24.11 That is because i didnt remember the exact spot but remembered it was somewhere around there.

Assignments:
10 Hitengu medics are caring for those Katytans who are still recovering from the last battle, the other 10 are standing ready to aid those who are liable to get injured in the next.

20 sentries and 5 snipers are assigned to aid patrol, guard, and communications duties. The remaining 50 and 25 are all part of the coordinated mess that is dragging on the Orcish army, cutting off their supplies and blasting them with baited traps and landmines whenever they attempt to hunt or forage--sentries make the land itself hostile to the enemy and render every advancing step a terror, while snipers likewise the enemy from ever getting a chance to stop and compose themselves for long. 'Advance and explode, hold still and get shot.'

The 'Hunter's Guild' actively pursues stragglers while avoiding direct engagement, trusting the Hitengu to watch their backs and cover their tracks. Snipers gain targets as they can during these raids, protected by sentries and Katytan skirmishers. The snipers are given a preference for enemy leaders, but reducing enemy mobile troop count as much as possible is given higher priority than taking out other targets of 'high value' such as trolls.

By the end of the month, thirty Katytans will be ready to either defend Kara's Camp from a furious assault, or to pursue and scatter a routing enemy to make them easy to destroy for the forces lurking in the hills around. A few cautious humans are among the defenders at Kara's Camp. Oici leads the breaching troops, Masi leads the ranged and siege troops, Nanae and Ison lead the light and medium infantry about the area, Nasha is in a command position at the camp and Ginya works in the outfield, coordinating with the Hitengu, Nanae, and Icand's troops.

Step Two

Katyn did her research. Blood and tears, souls and flows, the entire Katytan creation process reviewed, the relationship between deities and their creations discovered. It was pretty simple. Creations go out, gather power in the world, and, assuming they remained faithful, returned it with interest upon their death. Now she understood the motives of many of the other gods better. And loathed them deeper.

Katyn continued to gather power and shape it with her own hands. That some of her creations returned on the investment in passing was no more comforting than it had been to recieve a bagful of money upon her mother's passing, although the situation was certainly different. Katyn's creation was meant to be an end in itself, not merely a means to one.

Still, as dirty as the bulk of this new knowledge felt, it explained what happened. As a faithful follower, Ringa's soul returned to her in near completeness upon his passing, and her denial and grief had channelled it into her new creation fully intact. It was a reproducible effect, but it was a waste of energy and, as Nasha had pointed out, unethical to boot.

Katyn could, however, take advantage of this new knowledge in a way that would not be so. Preserving memories of the deceased was all she needed to restore them to life--not instantly and fully, like she had done to Ringa, but gradually and selectively, much as had happened to Nasha. These bizzare accidents had unveiled the recipe for success on a whole new level.

'Elna II'--a tentative name for this reborn Katytan, the first of what would be a new series of them--stood silently, still inert as Katyn worked. 'Listening' carefully, Katyn could hear the energy flowing in unbidden. They were flows full of life, not raw and sterile jolts of power like she normally employed. It made the work an enjoyable dance, not a tedious task requiring she trance.

She delicately traced the new reference patterns, noting her new adjustments. They ran from hip to ankle, and from shoulder to wrist, now. Soon they would be extending onto new Katytans' backs, but there was still plenty of space remaining. These lines had developed over more than one and a half thousand Katytans over the past century, it would take many thousands more adjustments before she would have to change her methods.

So much time had passed during her work and study. At last, Katytan turned the key and carried the sleeping child out to the magma flow. It was time to begin her next project, and for that, she would need to delve deep into storage, attending Katya closely. A refreshing break from routine, one her creations would appreciate soon enough, as well.

Mika in Migurabara

Mika ate, slept, met new people and learned the local language. Her strange new powers had gone dormant as her terror fled. Some of these people knew of Katytans, some were scared of them and of her, but the farmer protect her, explaining to others that she was just a lost child and meant no harm.

Grateful for the assistance--especially the delicious fruit--Mika worked diligently at all the farm tasks and village errands she could ask for, and the days passed quickly and contently, with something new to learn and someone new to meet each and every day.

Some nights, as she lay awake awaiting the sun, to begin her morning labours, Mika's thoughts turned to Oce, to Nasha, and to all that was left at home. But Mika was still a child, and did not have the courage to give voice to her concerns, least of all when her life was so happy here. In her heart, she knew she could not stay forever, but for now, it was her natural course.

Kara's Camp

The Hitengu flew in. It was that simple. Orcs and goblins were arrayed on the ground all around the fortified bluff, but there were only a hundred goblin archers to cover over a square mile of area, and their feeble bows could not shoot high enough, far enough, or accurately enough to interfere with the approach, especially when they were too busy running for cover to aim carefully. Nasha was ready to greet them as they landed.

"...And welcome to the forces inside. We are grateful for your assistance. Heavily fortified sniping positions have been constructed upon the walls. You can outrange our best siege weapons on hand by over 50%, I hear, so please have fun impeding their heavy siege prep for us. Sentries, Masi and Oici are available to go over the defense plans, I am here as your communicator. Masi would also like to meet with you medics, to dicuss procedure. Communications posts are up there, we have the coordinates of your Buhachi..."

The directions droned on as the camp buzzed with new activity, provisions borne by the Hitengu, tired from the long, hard flight of the last half hour, were stockpiled and distributed, their weapons explained to the Katytans, and likewise the Katytans sharing their own knowledge with the Hitengu. Beds were prepared, the humans came to greet, and outside, the orcs, goblins, and trolls continued to mill about their camps, long made uneasy by their dwindling supplies and awkward predicament.

Ison stood holding Bellblossom awkwardly as the younger Katytan looked vaguely in his direction, still unable to see.

"She's a good axe, and it's just for one battle! I shouldn't fight when I can't see properly, and Masi's too busy to fix me, so I'll just be farming up around Mimikozga 'til summertime..."

Ison tested it out while Yane stood by. The weapon was lighter than she was use to and the air resisted it much less. yet it could sunder things that her own 'Woodcleaver' could only crush. It would likely come in very handy against foes both large and small in the battle to come, even if it'd throw off her usual attack patterns--but what did that matter, if they weren't required to strike a telling blow?

"Very well, Yane. I'll take good care of her while you're away. Be well."

"Thank you thank you thank you!" Yane rushed off back to    the wagon trained, and Ison returned to her squad. "Time to get movin', unless you'd like to stay here to greet the goblins?"

Asti laughed. "I think we'd all like that, but I suppose we should play this by the rules." She walked off, and the others followed, the Hitengu squads reaching out in front of them as they marched out, ready to skin the incoming enemy when they arrived, metaphorically speaking.

The Orcs binded the wounded, buried their dead and moved camp to a more optimal place to "Kill 'tuff ded".

In Erithnarum, a diamond- covered hand closed into a fist. It opened, and dropped a small, crumpled up Orc figurine onto a detailed map of Erithnarum and her surroundings.

Around Machinatus, the Nobles muttered amidst themselves. A servant, Ulatos, mother of two, no siblings, tense relations with parents, quickly arrived to collect the now useless piece off the board.

Master Mage Ultuvumkviatus, single like practically all mages, coughed politely and voiced out his careful assessment of the situation:
"My Lord, this battle is, in my most humble opinion, laughably easy. We must simply wait for the Orcish army to advance, open the magma dispenser pipes and watch them burn to a crisp. Your Divinity need not worry about this."
"Mhrmm."
"My Lord?"
"I said: I keep having this feeling we've overlooked something. These Orcs possess a keen, primal cunning. We do not know their weapons, their magics, their beasts of war, we know nothing. We do now know the enemy we face, and therefore they are more dangerous to us than any creature of the Deeps. That is why I need to worry about this."

A soldier, Kadaratis, found orphan, now sergeant of the spearmen, interjected with a quick Sending:
Avatar, the Orcs are approaching. They are sending a squad of a few dozen of their smallest kind into the tunnels.
The tunnels? The found them already?
Well... of course, sir. They are big, gaping holes in the ground, sir.
I though I said you were to disguise them, sergeant.
Yes, I remember, sir. I told Dorkatis to lead in that.
A third voice interjected.
I don't remember anything like that, sarge.
What do you mean you don't remember? I told you in front of the whole team?
Euh, I think I was thinking of something else at that time, sarge.

Machinatus hunched his shoulders and leaned heavily on the table in front of him. Why did this have to happen to him, of all people?
It took a moment to gather his nerves before he felt he could continue.

A floating ball of water is outside the gate, the Hitengu, unsure what to make of it, stay at a respectful distance, there was no sound but all who were there heard it.

One of the Hitengu nearby, muttering half terrified half confused:

"Th..there are n..no leaders in this city. They are al..all in Kawareidou."

"Does anyone know the path to this 'Kawareidou'? We will telepathically glean the information from you, with permission of course. "

A young woman raises her hand.

"I do. I have some relatives there."

"And you will give us permission to get this information?"

"W..what do you need it for?"

"To know the way, do not worry it will not hurt and you will lose zero memories."

"I mean, why do you need our leaders?"

"To talk with, meet with, maybe make pacts. Do not worry, we are a peaceful race."

"Then I guess it is okay to give you the information."

The ball of water reforms into a bowl shape, floating over to the woman it covers her head. "Do not worry, focus on where this city is." After a moment it floated off her head and reformed into a ball of water.

"Thank you, do you wish to know where our city is?"

"Y..yes please."

The ball of water telepathically impresses upon the people that the Ratew town is to the north north-west across the great ocean.

Uchi and Skriz... goodbye

   Skriz finishes bending the weapon into shape. It is a shortened Dracan staff that he had wanted to give to Uchi. It was a piece of work too. On one side the standard blade was crafted. However the other side was a blunt loop that a chain could be attached to. The entire shaft was made of earth and Steel.

   As Skriz picks up his piece of work he goes over in his mind all the unique things this staff could do. In the right hands it would be a very flexible and deadly weapon. He had made another one of these as well for himself however he... just thought that Skriz owed Uchi something so the other was to go to him, a symbol of friendship.

  When the door to the medical room was open Skriz found the bed empty and everything was set up as if noone had ever been there.

   "That's funny, I could have sword that this was where Uchi was staying", Skriz whispered to himself as he walked towards the window. As he leaned out the edge to look out, there was Uchi walking away.

   "Hey Uchi!" Skriz yelled to get Uchi's attention.

   Uchi stopped where he was but didn't look back.

   "If you are going to leave us, you might as well take this. A present if you will take it"

   Uchi turned around to see the weapon in Uchi's hand. He sighed as he said, "No thank you I have enough tools of war."

   "Just don't die on me then will you..." Skriz said as Uchi continued to walk off towards the southern port city, probably to steal a boat... No matter, I owe him that at least.

   With Uchi gone and not wanting the weapon, all that Skriz could do was keep a hold on it and perhaps one day Uchi may return for it. Skriz took the weapon and attached a length of chain onto it and connected it with the other one he had made. He then attached the chain onto a unique backpack with a spring in it that would retract the chain automatically. Skriz then attached both weapons onto the pack where they could easily be pulled off.

   Skriz sighed as he filled the weapon pack with needed supplies for the journey he will take soon. "Perhaps I will see that guy again, I have a feeling that we have alot in common."

Morphology
- Dracans are a lizard race that could be described as smaller dragons. Being made from the earth itself  Dracans can withstand being in lava but
only for a time. Their large wings give them the gift of flightmaking high mountain Fortress perfect for them. A larger lung size than most creatures
allows them to fly for a great time along with to great heights. In times of battle these wings would fold onto the warriors back to keep them from
harms way. *seems I forgot to mention earlier that they are humanoids, dragons in human form*

- Hero: Skriz - All but a master at bending earth he is capable of shifting earth even in the worst of conditions. Even if he is getting
         on in years he devotes his time to developing new ways for Earth bending to be used weather for war or for economic use.
        His ability with a Dracan staff is impressive as well as he uses the Dracans natural agility and earthbending capabilities in lethal
       doses in combat.

- Dracans use a type of caste system. Obelisk - Earth Lord - Dracan Elite - Soldier - Smiths - Peasant
   The Earth Lords: are chosen by Obelisk for their experience in fighting and strategics
   along with their overwhelming ability to bend the earth.

   Dracan Elite: rise up the ranks by showing an amazing ability to fight well even against
   overwhelming odds. It's been known for the Elite to be able to take on 100 Dracan soldiers
   without a knick on him. However the Dracan died shortly after of exhaustion.
   They also possess to a smaller extent the ability to bend the earth like the Lords.

   Soldier: These fighters rain death upon their foes from above with crossbows or on the battlefield
   with their unique weapons. A basic wooden staff with a blade attached to each end. This is the standard
   weapon for both Elites and Soldiers.

   Smiths: These are the Dracans that as the name implies smiths the weapons for the military.
   Using their earthbending to pull pure iron from the earth and formed into the traditional twin bladed staff.
   They also build boats and other buildings.

   Peasants: On the lower end of the caste are the peasants who grow food for the military. Using what little
   earthbending they have, they are able to make extremely productive farms.

- Dracans as a Race just want to expand and endure.
- Obelisk is known to walk among his race's capital. However he does not demand that his people worship him, only that
  they treat him as one of their own.

Technology
- The ability to make Iron has been perfected while Steel is known to exist the process to make it has yet to be perfected.
  Seafaring is a well know trade among the Dracans since they are on an island as their own, their ability to fly has allowed them
  to become accomplished at the task since they are able to tell how the wind will flow by just glancing at the sky.

  Ships:
   Trader (Crew 4) : A small fast ship that skips accross the water bringing supplies and trade goods wherever it goes.
   Able to hold 12 warriors if neccessary.
   
   Transport (Crew : A military vessel that carries large amounts of troops across the water. Comes with a top that can open
   up so that troops can fly out quickly and swarm the enemy.
   Able to hold 32 warriors

   Ragnorak (Crew 12) : A ship made up of volcanic materials making it incredibly light. Large rocks are kept on board so they can
   be used as ammo for Earth Benders on board.
   Able to hold 64 warriors.
   
Magic & Divine Powers
- They have the ability to bend the earth to their will to varying degrees. It is different with each Dracan, it is thought that
   those that have a great command of the earth were forged with stronger materials than other Dracans. Also through their
   earth bending they are able to sense even the most minute tremors in the earth, showing the tall tale signs of an eruption or a far off army
   on the march.
-  Since Dracans are made of earth they are able to tolerate the extreme heat, and the extreme cold.

Arrival in the world
- They were brought upon the world by Obelisk after seeing many other gods influencing the world with their
   own races.
- They start with a population of 400.

The crowds roared, it was founding day for the House of Dysis. The beautiful vista painted by the red tabbards and white trims did not attempt to deny this day it's right. The beloved Merchant Baron Alexander Dysis was to whom this day was owed.

Baron Dysis had single-handidly paid for the expedition to this new land, paid for the soldiers to guard it and paid for the materials to build it. The crimson soldiers stood as silent sentinels under the fluttering banners, Housecarls of Dysis. Their armor was very different then standard Ikyonian, designed for the cold. Soon the House's Maestro would arrive.

The carriage was pulled by two steeds in the uniform Dysis crimson pulled a large Mahogany carriage. The Housecarls began to move in around the carriage, readying their swords. The door to the carriage was flung open and out stepped the Maestro of House Dysis.

Alexander Dysis was a tall man, his body muscular but lithe, his black hair cropped short and a small pencil-thin mustache sat below an aquiline nose. He turned smartly on his heels and bowing to take Lady Dysis's hand as she exited the carriage. Her hair was just as dark as her husbands, midght black and reached to the arch of her back. She wore a red and black bodice with an elaborate skirt. Her face was masked with a long raven ballroom mask the color of pure darkness, it's features were laced in Mother-of-Pearl. This was the ruling family of Dysis, these were the Maestro and his Lady.

Danalof wandered for days upon days in the twisted halls of the labyrinth. Luckily, his incredible mastery of Transmutation meant he ate to his fill. The greatest ennemy was not hunger or thirst, but boredom. The maze-trecking was fun for the first few days, as it was a nice intellectual challenge to face, until Danalof realized that the halls were twisted by magical means and thus no amount of logical thinking would lead him out.

He had summoned Iurus from the elemental fire to keep him company, as well as Satori at night. But that wasnt really enough. So the old sage spent most of his non-wandering-aimlessly time randomly transmuting and binding flows to odd junk he found around in the maze. Nothing incredible, nothing useful. Just Turn-Metal-Into-Jello and Create-Awesome-Tiny-Colored-Sparks spells to keep him slightly entertained. He also found many bones, which led him to wish in his deepest moments of boredom that he had given a bit more attention to Death flows in his education, many centuries ago. Even randomly raising undead would have lessened the strain of boredom here.

"Hmm...sunrise. He is going to visit me again..."

Silently, Uchiwaka got out of his sickbed and got dressed. His broken bones were no longer hurting with every move, that was a good start. Trying not to lose balance as he slipped into his pants, he pondered wether or not he should leave Skriz a farewell letter. Staring at paper and brush, he just stored them in his sleeves, and decided not to write anything. If he started writing, he'd just be held up by trying to find the proper words, explanations, justifications. Not to mention he would first have to rub the inkstone. No, deffinetly a silent farewell then. What gives a better "I am off" message then an empty bed in the morning?
Silently, as not to wake up the nurses, he made his way out of the hospital, through the village, into freedom. Except...

"Hey Uchi."
Uchiwaka first stood silent, then sighed, then shivered. That was Skriz voice. How inconvenient. How is one supposed to leave without being noticed when you are...well..noticed ?

Not turning around, he just muttered. "What is it Skriz?"

"Are you not forgetting something?"

Huh? What could he have forgotten? Clothes? Check. Flute? Check. Swords? Check. Mask? Check. The eternal appel and the water gourd? Check. Brush, paper, inkstone? Check.
Not bothering with lamenting over his lack of worldy possesions, he finaly turned to Skirz.

"What is it, Skriz?"

Skriz was looking out of the window, in the room he had slept in the last weeks. He was holding a small halberd. Judging by the size, it was crafted for him personaly, and even from the distance, it was easy to say that it was a total masterwork.

"A farewell gift, if you so will."

Uchiwaka couldn't help himself but smirk a bit. Skriz certainly was a sharp mind...Sadly he was not gifted with a talent for fitting gifts.

"I am afraid I already carry enough tools of murder on me, but I appreciate your good will. I thought staying here would let me find what i was seeking, but I guess becoming a better fighter is just a small part of my fate, and not the fate that awaits me as a whole. And tell Driv he can keep his nose. For now."

Skriz chuckled to himself. "Stubborn as always I see. I don't think I could make you change your mind. Just don't die on me."

Uchiwaka turned around again, slowly walking off into distance.

"I am Uchiwakamaru. How could anyone be possibly concerned about me ever dying...."

Shivering, the hitengu woman fell on her knees, after the blob of water had hovered away. What manner of creature was that? This cold mass of water, speaking directly to her mind. A mizujin, a ghost of the water. How did he call himself? A Ratew? And did he not say "race" ? Where they more? Maybe entire armies of them? That was bad....

A loud noise went through the parliament. Mizujinji? In this part of the world? Were they not extinct? And more importantly, were they really peaceful?

"Silence. Silence," Proclaimed Rena Yakumo, freshly elected leader fo the parliament. "There is no reason for worry. The Mizujin has claimed to come here for diplomacy. There is no reason not to trust him."

The small scout group of goblins did not know what was coming unto them. One of them had dropped dead, a arm-thick hole running through his chest. How...why...There was no enemy to be seen. Nervously, the put arrows to their bow, and kept moving. The enemy had to be around here somewhere...

Shortly after, another one dropped dead. Warned beforehand this time, the last surviving scout had seen what happened. A blinding ray of light had pierced the throat of his companion. Quickly, he took cover, and strained his eyes. Over there..what is that? So far away ? That had to be a joke. How did that guy over there hit them from that far? That must, at least 900 meter, if not a whole km.
The horde had to learn of this immediatly!
Picking up all of his courage, the goblin left his cover and ran towards the camp.

Needless to say, he did not make. No one turns his back to Kyou and makes it.
