You know, if you want contact with other civs the right way is to go to them, even if it is metagaming everyone has been doing it so far. Of course if you want to relocate somewhere else you can.

Other things you could do is expand because if you get your pop growth in a single turn you'll probably exceed your popcaps, and that is not allowed.

You can also write about your civilization and its culture, so that they don't remain anonymous forever.

The Dracan Race:

Morphology
- Dracans are a lizard race that could be described as smaller dragons. Being made from the earth itself  Dracans can withstand being in lava but
only for a time. Their large wings give them the gift of flightmaking high mountain Fortress perfect for them. A larger lung size than most creatures
allows them to fly for a great time along with to great heights. In times of battle these wings would fold onto the warriors back to keep them from
harms way. *seems I forgot to mention earlier that they are humanoids, dragons in human form*

Culture & Society

- Hero: Skriz - All but a master at bending earth he is capable of shifting earth even in the worst of conditions. Even if he is getting
         on in years he devotes his time to developing new ways for Earth bending to be used weather for war or for economic use.
        His ability with a Dracan staff is impressive as well as he uses the Dracans natural agility and earthbending capabilities in lethal
       doses in combat.

- Dracans use a type of caste system. Obelisk - Earth Lord - Dracan Elite - Soldier - Smiths - Peasant
   The Earth Lords: are chosen by Obelisk for their experience in fighting and strategics
   along with their overwhelming ability to bend the earth.

   Dracan Elite: rise up the ranks by showing an amazing ability to fight well even against
   overwhelming odds. It's been known for the Elite to be able to take on 100 Dracan soldiers
   without a knick on him. However the Dracan died shortly after of exhaustion.
   They also possess to a smaller extent the ability to bend the earth like the Lords.

   Soldier: These fighters rain death upon their foes from above with crossbows or on the battlefield
   with their unique weapons. A basic wooden staff with a blade attached to each end. This is the standard
   weapon for both Elites and Soldiers.

   Smiths: These are the Dracans that as the name implies smiths the weapons for the military.
   Using their earthbending to pull pure iron from the earth and formed into the traditional twin bladed staff.
   They also build boats and other buildings.

   Peasants: On the lower end of the caste are the peasants who grow food for the military. Using what little
   earthbending they have, they are able to make extremely productive farms.

- Dracans as a Race just want to expand and endure.
- Obelisk is known to walk among his race's capital. However he does not demand that his people worship him, only that
  they treat him as one of their own.

Technology
- The ability to make Iron has been perfected while Steel is known to exist the process to make it has yet to be perfected.
  Seafaring is a well know trade among the Dracans since they are on an island as their own, their ability to fly has allowed them
  to become accomplished at the task since they are able to tell how the wind will flow by just glancing at the sky.

  Ships:
   Trader (Crew 4) : A small fast ship that skips accross the water bringing supplies and trade goods wherever it goes.
   Able to hold 12 warriors if neccessary.
   
   Transport (Crew : A military vessel that carries large amounts of troops across the water. Comes with a top that can open
   up so that troops can fly out quickly and swarm the enemy.
   Able to hold 32 warriors

   Ragnorak (Crew 12) : A ship made up of volcanic materials making it incredibly light. Large rocks are kept on board so they can
   be used as ammo for Earth Benders on board.
   Able to hold 64 warriors.
   
Magic & Divine Powers
- They have the ability to bend the earth to their will to varying degrees. It is different with each Dracan, it is thought that
   those that have a great command of the earth were forged with stronger materials than other Dracans. Also through their
   earth bending they are able to sense even the most minute tremors in the earth, showing the tall tale signs of an eruption or a far off army
   on the march.
-  Since Dracans are made of earth they are able to tolerate the extreme heat, and the extreme cold.

Arrival in the world
- They were brought upon the world by Obelisk after seeing many other gods influencing the world with their
   own races.
- They start with a population of 400.

Among the strong clapping and cheering of the few elves and students, barely twenty in numbers all together, Danalof weaved flows of Air to carry a blank marble tablet and then Tansmutation to 'weld' it above the castle's main gate. Once it was well placed, the sage pointed to it and from the tip of his finger sprung white lightning, carving unto the marble tablet the official crest of this new institution: A moon and a crystal. Around it, was carved the moto of the Academy, animus est rector, mens est intentio, scientia est tool quod telum, magus est opes. The soul is the guide, the mind is the planner, knowledge is the tool and weapon, magic is the means.

At the instant the words were set in stone, the Hitengu students released bursts of lights in all shapes and colors, firework displays only rivaled by those of the actual large Hitenguan cities. And Danalof sent his own fireworks, tiny elementals of all elements, swirling and flying and merging and exploding. Even the elves helped a bit in this display. What a shame so few people were here to see it. But soon, many more would live here, and as such, soon after this display, everyone went back to work. No time to celebrate for long.

One fine morning after the inauguration, Danalof sat at his study examining the very first paperwork and most certainly not the last. A knock is heard on the door. "Come in," says Danalof without looking up from the papers.

The knocker enters, and Danalof finally looks up. He sees a strange hooded person, introducing himself as Abarxis. Under his hood, Danalof sees he is a human-like person, except that his skin has a steel tint to it.

"I've heard about this new 'academy' of yours that was opening here," says the hooded person, handing a thick bookroll to Danalof. "My credentials."

From reading those, thesage gathers this person is a mage of no small power and knowledge in the field of displacement magic. He seems to have visited numerous worlds before, none of which Danalof had heard before.

"Ah, I see, well how may I help a fellow mage?" asks Danalof.

"I'm sure your new academy requires instructors, yes? I came here to ask for such a position, as well as a lab to myself to continue my studies. I also as for a modest sum of gold, but i'm sure that wont be a problem."

"Yes, I do need some instructors, i cant do all the work myself...  We can easily pay you, we have a good source of fundings. Sadly, we only have one main lab for now, and making a new one will take atleast a month. But if you are willing to wait, we will start to work on it as soon as possible."

"Agreed. I'll be at the inn, listening to the music of that heaven-sent half-elven bard, until you have that lab built for me. Farewell."

Nanae's Return

From the northeast, she came. Why bother with the front door? Nanae climbed the mountain, she would enter the caldera directly to save time, and have a lot more fun in the process.

As it turned out, there was more fun waiting than she bargained for. No Katytans in sight, and the place was crawling with rockmen. Nanae pounded hand over fist and began climbing down. The first rockman to notice her waved his arm and she grabbed it, cracked it, dislocated a joint, and was in the process of slamming him against the wall when she heard Nasha's voice.

"Nanae, what are you doing?!"

Crunch. The Erithrean moaned. Nanae figured out the problem. "Oops."

Nasha rushed up to her and waved down the rather disgruntled crowd. "He's fine, it's a minor injury, Nanae here is just confused, she's been away for too long." She grabbed her former assistant and dragged her away. Nanae simply continued to stare at the crowd as she went, expressionless.

Once they were in the relative privacy of the grand metalworks, Nasha turned to the younger Katytan, incredulous. "You've been travelling alone? For how long?"

Nanae shrugged. "All winter, I guess. There's a new Hitengu town to the northeast, across the mountains. I stopped there for a bit. No, I didn't hurt anyone."

"Good. Please be careful. These people are refugees. You should stay away from the caldera for the time being." Nasha grabbed Nanae again, this time inspecting her eyes.  Nanae pushed her away. "I've been taking the dose Masi perscribed me. I had to lower it for a bit while my firestalks were growing, but that was a while ago."

Nasha nodded. "You're fine physically, but you need to slow down."
"I am perfectly calm, Nasha."
"That's part of the problem. Anxiety and doubt exist for a reason."
"I'm sorry. I should have watched their behavior a moment more to determine their level of intelligence."

Nasha had never heard an apology so flatly insincere. This was hopeless, and she was not confident in her ability to restrain Nanae alone if it came to that. "You should know that the fortress is nearly empty, due to a new enemy to the south. Most of us are out laying siege to it. They could likely use your help."

Nanae's eyes glittered at the thought. "Wonderful. I will leave at once. Good luck with the rockmen." Nanae abruptly left down the hall. Nasha sighed heavily and returned to the caldera. "Again I am sorry, friends. It won't happen again. If there is anything I can do..."

Ison in Mimikozga

The Katytans following Ison met up with him during the approach. Apparently, Nanae had already entered through the volcano. The eight approached Mimikozga together."

"What the... Hell?"

The town was in ruins. It had been 50% complete, now only 20% of the construction remained, and most of that was damaged. As a group, they ran forward, fearing the wors, searching through the rubble, until a child carrying a barrel came out of the fortress. Ison rushed up to her. "You, child. Who is here?"

The child paused, working out this problem carefully. "Just you, me, and Nasha. Nanae gone already." She loaded the barrel on a cart, laden with war supplies, and indicates the empty space next to it. "She took cart already."

"Where?"
"South!" With her hands full, the child tried to indicate the direction with her head, comically.

Ison turned to the others. "Go resupply, I'll find Nasha."

He rushed into the fortress. Where would she be? Everything was dusty from lack of use, but there were no signs of violence inside. Only children's footsteps in the dust toward the barracks and down the main tunnel. She'd have to be somewhere along the metalworks tunnel route, working in the caldera. Ison checked the barracks first.

Nasha was in the kitchen. Ison rushed in, breathing having become somewhat strained from the last few minutes of rushing. "Nasha! There you are! What transpired here?"

She was taken aback by his sudden arrival, spilling simmering liquid onto the hot stove, but quickly recovered, shaking her head. "I wasn't here when it happened. I sent a message to the front to ask about it."

"What front? Were we attacked?" Ison gripped his axe.
"Yes and no. The Hrun are gone, but goblins moved in to the south."

"I know of the goblins, Ginya informed me when I passed through the Hitengu city during our return journey. This was not the work of goblins."

"Oh? Hmm. Perhaps she did not think it important."

"Unimportant? Our city is in ruins!"

"And yet, no one was harmed. I suspect it was a monster attack, a construct of some kind. The siege weapons saw heavy use, but there's no body, so it may have fled."

Ison muttered to himself, thoughtfully. "Yes, that would explain it, if it was crippled to be no threat. And the town was still under construction. Thank you for your wisdom, Nasha. There are more important things to worry about."

Nasha nodded. "The front could use your axe. All of you, really. I hear we are particularly short-handed for scouts and guards, and with Ginya away, Yane is leading her squad."

Ison saluted firmly. "I will join them at once and make sure the others are assigned suitable tasks. Goodbye, Nasha."

He left, and Nasha sighed. It appeared the fortress would remain a lonely for some time to come. Perhaps she could join the army, too, if the others with Ison could be recruited to mind the fortress...

Yes, definitely. Nasha removed her food from the stove and rushed off to find them. She was the first Katytan, babysitting was definitely something she'd have to delegate if lives and sanity were at stake.

A Specious Subterfuge

Ginya waited a block away from her mark. She'd chosen it well, the mother had far too many children to care for alone, the child was too young to talk, and there had been no witnesses to see her give him the toy. With troubled older children in the family, it would be easy for blame to be directed inward, rather than outward.

It was a small, pretty ball, and it jingled, an innocent appearance for such a dangerous device. Composed of many layers of various materials, and meticulously constructed for ideal airflow, the Dragon's Egg was an interesting invention with many practical purposes.

In this case, its purpose was to set a house on fire. There was no guarantee that the child would put the ball in a place where it could do damage, but she'd overheard the children mentioning strict their mother was at making sure all their toys were cleaned up each night. Seeing the other toys the children played with, Ginya suspected that it would be enough to start a fire from the toybox on the first floor, and it would spread from there.

With so many children and some too young to fly, they would need help to escape the conflagaration. Ginya could provide that help. Most likely, no one would be seriously injured, and the relatively poor family did not have much to lose.

Ginya didn't fool herself into believing that this so-called 'crime' was harmless or justified, however. It was merely the most expedient way to gain respect at present, and with almost no risk--after all, the evidence would consume itself both physically and mentally, due to the child's pre-verbal trauma--it would be irresponsible not to commit it.

With nothing to do but wait, Ginya mulled over contingency plans while she chatted with the locals at the tavern. If the ball combusted and melted without starting a fire while others were around, it would look suspicious, but she could excuse it and apologize in the event it was traced back to her. If the fire was extinguished prematurely, that would be a trickier situation, but she was confident in her ability to cruise through it. Skipping town was a last resort--she could likely escape through the river undetected, that was her best bet.

An hour passed. The fire should have already started by now, yet the streets were still quiet. Business was dying down at the tavern. Though some wondered about Ginya staying so long, she merely informed them that as a Katytan elder, she needed only a few hours of sleep per night, and could withstand the local alcohol quite well, thank you.

It was within the next hour that the alarm came. Ginya surpressed her exhiliration enough to fiegn confusion and ask what the matter was. Fire alarm, of course. She went outside, casually, and only picked up the pace after seeing the burning house and feigning the appropriate surprise and alarm. She quickly rushed off to the rescue.

It was child's play (ha!) to save the family from their burning home. The plan had gone like clockwork, with the fire in the toybox setting the entire room aflame before anyone had noticed, and quickly spreading to the floorboards and rafters, trapping most of the family inside.

With bloodmetal cloak on hand, Ginya safely escorted or carried away every resident who was not able to fly to safety, and soon the bucket brigade arrived to save their house. No serious injuries, relatively little destruction of property, and mountains of praise from the local inhabitants as they consoled Ginya's victims. She modesty revelled in the hero's welcome, and gave her carefully prepared report to the local authorities before retiring for the night, soot-covered cloak drawn against the chill, both in the night air, and in the threat of potential suspicions come morning.

Ginya thrust these concerns out of mind when she returned to the hospitality of Ryou's home. It was better to live in the moment. A comfortable bed, the elections soon coming, and the buzz of excitement still in the air. Ginya could not ask for more.

Siege Battle

A pounding noise came from the entrance of the goblin fortress that night. The Katytan sentries launched the red flare, and as the viles creatures of darkness emerged, the Katytans were armed, armoured, and ready. Ringa called upon his troops. "Spears up! At the ready. Split left/right, 1, 2, 3, 4. He lead his own squad to a central position, and there they crouched.

Masi's squad climbed up to the rear of the fortress entrance. "Children front. Load your weapons, take aim."

Yane worked out the kinks in her muscles by twirling her axe for a moment, then crouched as well. "Get readyyyy~"

Oici had nothing to say. Those with her knew too well all that needed to be done.

The enemy emerged, led by trolls as tall as a Katytan yet twice as wide. Bolts flew, grenades, setting the rotting corpses at the entrance a flame. Orcs charged out through the flames as their breaching troops suffered crippling wounds. The battle was soon joined, and surging waves of Katytan fury descended upon the fighters, a slaughter.

Black pitch erupted into the night sky from under the snow, incinerating dozens of orcs at a time and yet leaving the Katytans unscathed. Siege weapons obliterated formations of green-skinned swordsmen. It was over soon, and though a few Katytans laid groaning in the black sand, none were still.

Ringa looked around. No goblin corpses. "This ain't right..." Oici yelled out the order. "Look alive! It's a distraction!"

Red flares erupted from the north and south as she was speaking, illuminating the Katytans masks of terror. Icand appeared on the ridge as Ringa called for new formations to make use of the scorched, open ground and use the mounds of corpses to fortify. "Abandon the catapults, aim ballistas, get ready to brawl!"

Icand shouted his explaination, watching Eve signal from across the clearing. "Hidden entrances we never found, goblins are pouring out from both directions. We're surrounded... Hold 'til the last." He hopped down, the coldness of his words running deeply through all those present.

Oici muttered, yet in the silence, it was clear to hear. "Rest until you sight them. We'll need every ounce of strength."

The goblins came, charging over the hillsides in endless waves as the scouts fired their last rounds of skirmishing ammunition. Hundreds of them, the small band of Katytans soon lost in the sea of them. Masi fired a flaming bolt, and another pool of pitch erupted. That killed fifty. Sixty? And yet there were still hundreds. The ballistae fired, killing over a dozen. And yet there were still hundreds. Grenades and bolts obliterated dozens more, and yet there were still hundreds. The waves crashed down, and Oici shed a tear to her companions. "Brings back memories, doesn't it?"

Ringa's phalanxes lined the field, forcing the goblins to pay dearly for every inch they gained. Masi's children skirmished up the hill. Yane's squad exhausted their supplies quickly and laid into the mass of foes to support the faltering line. Ringa and Oici's squad raged into combat to the front and rear flanks, swirling engines of destruction.

Icand's troops still fought on in the hills, making sure no goblin became too confident in his or her position, releasing flaming logs to crush, scatter, or set aflame a full quarter of the goblin population. And yet there were still hundreds...

The Katytan formations disintegrated at last. The last traps had been triggered, many goblins fought while still aflame. No more phalanxes, no more combat teams, only friends of opportunity against a seemingly endless swarm of foes. One by one fighters disappeared from the scene of battle, only to reappear, covered by goblins and dripping blood, throwing themselves into the flames with their last ounce of strength.

And yet, slowly, surely, the tired Katytans became aware of their foes strength and courage dwindling ever faster than their own. There were no longer hundreds, only dozens. Oici, her left arm crippled, forced to wield her two-handed sword with only one, tore apart another three foes with her swing, her exhaustion showing less than many of her comrades. Ringa was nowhere to be seen. It fell to her then. "Formation... all! Tunnel, drive them!"

Ringa's men heard and with mechanical thought, arranged themselves, charging forward as a line silently, all emotion gone from their minds. The goblins no longer surrounded them, many of them were surrounded themselves, and forty were slaughtered in the phalanx claw within seconds. That did it. The scattered remnants fled into the hills, late arrivals of the scout forces picking them off as they fled, before the clean-up began.

Masi returned as his foes broke under support fire, only one child still with him. There was not enough medical help to go around after the carnage. There was no time to waste. "Oici, triage." He did not need to say another word. The wounded were brought to him and he worked at a paced that had been perfected many years ago, his skills polished to almost preternatural levels, and yet every time, he always wished he would never have to use them again.

Oici looked around as she dragged the bodies. To rally the remaining Katytans was hopeless. The few troops hardened enough to retain their emotions other than her were already dead or wounded, and to attempt to bring good cheer would likely only unbury their anger and turn it against her. Some were already beginning to break down in tears. There was no time to treat emotional wounds, however. It was always easier to provide counselling than ressurection.

And yet, there she went... Yane's axe had taken on an odd shape, she was using it to walk despite a crippled leg. Her face was covered in blood, she was exhausted, and neither of her eyes were visible. She bent down beside those mourning the dead, whom Tytia was laying in state as Oici and Masi discarded them. After some blind groping, Yane put her hand on theirs. "Don't feel bad... They gave their lives for our future. When we lose old friends, we gain new ones."

She gave the Katytan a hug, though she could not identify her.  If Yane was crying, none could tell. There was too much blood to see tears. "See? We're stronger than ever. They made us this way. They tried to kill us, but they didn't. We're all stronger. We're all elders now."

Oici hesistated for a moment, hearing Yane's words. She was surprised to find they affected her. Masi gestured curtly to her, however, and she returned to her duty, feeling distantly ashamed. Yane's words showed intriguing wisdom. The demon war had been what divided the young Katytans from the old...

Oici shook her head. Not like this, however. Most of the old hadn't been present at the battle, and merely endured it from afar. Furthermore, it was likely this siege had been a mistake, a strategic blunder of gargatuan proprortions. There was no questioning that from Oici's perspective, but it was best the others didn't, at least not immediately. She remained silent.

Day dawned on the carnage, a beautiful, sunny day, the sun rising over the mountains. To Oici, the battlefield looked no different from before. Someone had brought carts, Icand probably. The dead were being loaded on them, as the Katytans were all too aware of the goblins' penchant for abusing them. Three children and seventeen adults dead, thirteen more expected to join them... Make that eighteen and twelve.

The carts pulled away, carrying the dead, the wounded, and their doctors. They would return to the safety of Kara's camp, and the children would train to guard it while the injured soldiers recovered.

Oici turned to the fortress. It had to be erased for this to all have been worthwhile. To enter now would be madness, however. She spoke with Kara quietly, and surveyed the entrance, giving orders to the scouts. No goblin would ever live here again, come spring.

Detailed Battle Report

Ringa and his lieutenants are among the dead due to a valiant and dogged last stand in defense of their men, continuing to fight even when no longer able to stand or wield their weapons, making no attempt to trust in victory for their side and give up. Their early efforts went a long way toward saving the day, though their last few moments were in vain, serving only to distract a few handfuls of goblins at the cost of any hope for their survival.

Eve survived the battle despite having six spears embedded in his torso by the end of the fight, but died of suffocation before the end of the month. The rest of his squad were not so lucky. In Icand's words, 'they tried too hard'.

Icand, Tytia, and Masi survived largely due to cowardice. Masi sacrificed children to save himself. Icand stayed at range, even gathering the quivers of the dead to allow him to remain there. Tytia hid after she ran out of bolts, though she was forced to bludgeon a number of goblins to death to protect her hiding place, anyway.

Oici stood as valiantly as Ringa, but more discreetly. Her entire squad survived, in large part due to her tactical savvy and frenzied defense of them after they fell. She was brought down several times, but always managed to get back up, being very glad now that she invested some of her training time into learning ways to wield her falchion  one-handed. She and her troops were among the few Katytans on the field to have ever fought surrounded by goblins like this before.

Yane managed to make it out alive due to playing dead after being blinded and crippled. She had over a hundred kills to her credit by this point, mostly due to her skillful managment of the fire situation, although at least thirty met her axe.

Elna blew herself up after recieving two spears through the heart, killing more than fifty goblins in the process and setting many more on fire. This played a great part in turning goblin morale the other way, despite causing some collateral damage.

Nasri was overconfident, and was incapacitated by a wounded troll before the goblins arrived. He suffered a moderate concussion, but no other injuries beyond bruises caused by trampling. He's one of the few Katytans to avoid any pyschological scars after the battle.

Aftermath

Winter was ending. The ice supports holding up the ceiling of the decrepit, stinking goblin fortress began to melt. The goblin corpses in the halls, now stripped of all valuables began to float in the dampness of the coming snowmelt from the sappers' tunnels. Their patterned swirls through the corridors upon the icy current gave them a last semblance of life and freedom before the rumbling mountain entombed them forever.

Deathtrap dungeon was no more. A cloud of noxious dust rolled for miles, visible from the mountains above. Any skulking survivors Oici and her cohorts may have left behind after the room-to-room fighting would not have survived. The Katytans had already left by then, their last wagons laden with stolen supplies and metalware.

The Katytans of Nanae and Icand still scoured the countryside for surviving goblins or their allies, a constant hunt for vengeance. Those Katytans recovering from their wounds were moved to the safety of Mimikozga,  where the barracks was now in full repair and new fortifications well underway.

Some time after, Nasha visited the battlefield of dust and ashes to express her shame, Nanae to voice her fury. Many others visited this site, to grieve, to seek answers, to face their trauma, and to gain resolve.

Eve passed away surrounded by friends, if not the ones he had known. Those closest to him were already dead. Unable to speak, he wrote down his last words, scribbled in green ink on paper, a message to inspire those who would follow in his footsteps. He was the last Katytan to die of wounds inflicted in the battle.

The bodies of the dead were returned to the volcano with great ceremony, as was custom. Katyn, more than aware of the horrors that were wrought, locked herself away, refusing to return to the palace, completing her work on Mika and returning the child to the Crimson Inferno, a new arbiter of death.

Katyn could not foresee what the coming months would bring, she did not know where the future of the Katytans lay, if there still was one. She'd made a terrible error. It would soon be time to move on, but for now, it was time to brood.

Kara's Camp

At the top of an isolated bluff, the old siege camp still stood as it had the last few months, build of coloured canvas and treated lumber with a tough stone foundation.  Food was stored here and it was well-defended by those Katytans still fit for military service and not needed on the home front.

The terrible battle outside the goblin fortress had obliterated any tensions or other social barriers that had once existed between the Katytans. At home they were united in mourning. Here, they were united in determination, training harder than ever in preparation for a foe that would undoubtedly come again.

Humans still resided at the camp, refugees from an oppressive regieme. They'd been fed and clothes through the winter, and were as well-dressed and healthy as they had ever been. Land for farming had been promised to them, but for now they trained with weapons alongside the Katytans, out of sheer boredom. It was too cold for travel, still.

Kara's road plans were removed from the shelves, and the abandoned work cleaned up. It would take some time to reallocate labour, many good hands had been lost, or were unavailable at present. Tytia remained in the camp, smelting goblin iron using fuel gathered from the south, repurposing it toward tools, armour, and weapons fit for humans and katytans alike.

The Katytans of the camp began to refer to their 'scouts' as 'hunters' before long, perhaps because the goblins were now regarded more as dangerous beasts than a military force. These teams of 'hunters' soon joined into a paramilitary organization, and some of the humans signed up by the end of spring, recieving the training needed to safely locate their quarry and make effective reports.

With proper funding from their spoils, by the new year, Kara's Camp was the headquarters of this new Hunter's Guild, a successor, in a sense, to the now-defunct mercenary company of the late Ringa Verticora, a life-size statue of whom is being constructed using the metal of the old bronze cuirass his men no longer require.

 He views his race as his belevod children, doing anything for them.

Morphology
 The Ratew are a race of water creatures, as in they really are water and can morph their shape however they see fit, they are incredibly agile and fast. They can harden the water that is their body into armor, or weapons. It is very difficult to kill a Ratew, as blades, bolts, arrows and blunt weapons merely go through the body. The easiest way to kill a Ratew is to strike for the brain floating throughout the body, however that is encased in a hard shell equivilant to steel plate and the water of the body surrounding the brain is usually as hard as stone, however brittle, when under attack. When they change their body to a bigger shape, the water within them gets 'stretched' and makes them weaker, while being in a smaller shape makes them more dense, and thus stronger. They are immortal, or at least their maximum age is unknown. As they get older they get smarter and denser, giving them the 'ability' to become bigger while staying the same strength. They reproduce by multiplying, so if they are dormant they can still reproduce. In winter the Ratew become dormant, however they can still reproduce and move if they must, however they are much weaker in winter.

Although they are made from water, the water of their body doesn't mix with any other water, kind of like oil on water. They also cannot stay underwater indefinatly, only 5 hours max, if they stay underwater longer than that they start to mix with the water, losing water of themselves, becoming weaker and weaker until they die, they can die within a minute. They can stay completely submerged for 5 hours max, and 10 hours max partially submerged in water. The Ratew are infinitely patient, and because of this they are some of the best crafters, using water to carve ordinary stone. Even though too much time spent in water is deadly to the Ratew, all are great swimmers and are incredibly fast.

They communicate with each other through a language which no other race can understand or elarn. However when talking to other races they can communicate telepathicly, they can use this to disable other races however only shortly, a few seconds or so. They don't like doing that but msut when in danger, and will do it rarely, the telepathic communication trancends language barriers. Making the Ratew great diplomats.

Culture & Society
As there is and always have been only few Ratew ever at one time, they make all decisions together. Religion isn't that important, they all worship Tarew and have a day to solely worshiping him. Their greater goal is to perfect all that they do, survive and love all creatures as best they can. Although they live on water tiles, they don't live in the water, they create artifical islands using their floating water-stone upon which they live.

Technology
They don't have much technology. Rather they focus on spirituality and magic. The closest thing to techonology they have is great architecture, using the water-stone they create using magic.

Magic & Divine Powers
All Tarew can use magic proficiently, all of their magic has things to do with water, moving it, changing it into solids and evaporating or freezeing it. They all can target specific amounts of water, being able to freeze a teacup of water in an ocean. Even though they are proficient in magic, they very rarely use it. Except for one spell, their main use for magic is to create floating stone blocksmade from water. They use this to create their floating villages. As all Ratew can use magic, magicians are not as important than in other races. They can create balls of water that serve as communicators between the balls of water which they direct and the central ball of water in their capital. They usually use these balls of water for scouts and diplomats, as any threat to the life of a Ratew is dangerous to the population as a whole.

Arrival in the world
The Ratew were brought to the world by Tarew, he opened a portal at the bottom of the ocean in the old world and new world, he created a stone block and put a bubble of air around it and put the remaining Ratew on it. He pushed it down through the water to the portal, pushed it through and then pulled it up through the ocean in the new world.
