A letter appears in front of Strife's face as purple looking thing with wheels for legs and hands him the neatly folded letter.

It opens of its own accord, releaseing a large amount of pop-up snakes.

"That'll be five hundred Plasmonds. Send it to the Underworld shipping and transportation office by next Friday, or if you want, will just subtract it from your Soul Account." The thing speeds away through the door.

On the letter: NO. You.

Strife rolls his eyes, seemingly somewhere between bemusement and annoyance. He pockets his book (again) and stares off into the flames.

"As much as I'd love to pay 500 palmfronds, I seem to be unable to get them to the, ahhh, 'Underworld shipping and transportation office.' Planar motion is not a sphere of mine, usually. I'm sure no convient occurence will occur to give me a way to pay."

"Don't count on that!"
Dragooble whacks a door down with his staff and behind it is a glowing portal that is constantly changing color.
"this should take you to the whatever payment office."
"it should but don't quote me on that ok?"

The orb pulsed slightly at this remark, as if chuckling to it's self.

Strife brushes himself off once more, then walks to the new portal. He gazzes around the room and strides through the portal.

"Here goes."

The foot vanishes into the portal, seemingly going to far. Strife overbalances and tumbles into the portal.

"FUCK!"

*SPLASH*

"Son of a *glub* muffin! *glub* This is *glub*"
The attempted swearing continues for a while.

There are the sounds of Strife swiming, but they quickly stop. There is some noise, but not of waves. There is a small splash and a knife, tied with a bowline knot to a thin piece of rope sail throw the portal. It clatters to a stop by the strange orb.

After a few minutes, the rope is pulled towards the portal. None of the other gods made a move for it, and it slid unopposed. It doesn't catch on anything and shortly goes back through the portal.

There is the sound of a knife hitting a certain power's head. It is shortly followed by a string of obsenities and glubs. The knife comes sailing through the portal again. Still trailing the rope.

Inaluct takes the hint, grabbing the dagger and stabbing it into the closest bookcase.

The rope goes taut again. The knife strains at the bookcase. After a moment, the bookcase topples. Anceint tomes of incalculatable vaule scatter around. The shelves slide for a while, but stop. A minute later a soaking wet Strife heaves himself back through the portal.
"Cough. Cough."

Strife spits up some foul looking water and weakly gets to his feet.

"Beg to report Dragooble, but the portal seems to have dropped me into the middle of the Dead Sea."

Strife brushes some small shrimp from his coat and wearilly colapses into a chair.

Damien busies himself picking up the tomes, but he pockets a few when he thinks no-one is looking

"Does anyone actually know whats in these books?"
Damien wonders aloud as he flicks through the pages of a particularly nasty looking tome
"Hmm, this looks useful"
He leaves the book open on the floor, and begins to draw strange symbols on the floor. To top it all off, he pours his own blood on the diagram once it is completed, and places a gnarled black candle at each point. The diagram  begins to smoke, soon noxious black fumes are pouring out the centre. With a rather loud BOOOOOM the portal bursts open, nad demos begin pouring through the gap.
"Hey look, I missed a page!... This isn't good..."

((Damien (and I) can be destructive when we're bored. Finally something can happen, even if its just you and me Strife))

"Honestly, I've just been pretending to read. I have a horrible secret..."

"I'm totally illiterate. I would have said something sooner, but... It's just..."

Inaluct collapses in tears.

"Thats very nice. I'd rather you were touchy feely when I didn't need to stop evil forces entering the room!"
Damien is surrounded by three rather ugly demons, he is holding them back with blasts of magic and a glowing longsword, but he looks tired
"Bloody hell, close the DAMN PORTAL!"

The Portal expands setting loose more demons. Giant hands grip the edges of the shimmering void, and the giant scaley head of a dragon enters, snortleing fire.

Suddenly the demons are pulled back into the portal, forceing back the dragon. Thundering to a close, the void winks out and shimmers away.
