The Chronicles of Spellborn
« on: January 06, 2008, 06:13:00 am »

There's a little known European game that I've got my eye set on, and I've came here to give it to my stout little buddies! It's called The Chronicles of Spellborn, and it's set in a world sundered because of a war between humans and demons. (Yeah, it's a bit clichéd, but bleh to you - too.)

It has grey wrinkly ninjas! Not so certain about deadly carp...

But, anyway, the lore is quite interesting, and the premise of it is too. You basically expore the "Deadspell Storm", which is a giant maelstrom of primitive magic, via floating rock ships. People's records are put down in statue form in the Halls of Champions, which is quite interesting. (Urist admired a fine statue of himself lately?)

Now, I'm interested in forming a TCoS roleplaying guild, and I need more able bodied DF forum members to join me! Read the lore, choose House Rune and Daevi, and get on my Shardship! It's time for some good old fashioned exploration!

Heheh, forgot the link:- Here We Goes!

(Also, to the people who might actually notice I've not been on IRC in aaaaages, it's because my new (old) PC doesn't support IRC, and I'm waiting for my laptop back. I'd be happy to have a SS13 game, though.    ;) )

Apologies for the slight bump. News.

Update: Spellborn is now free(whilst redeveloping), and it's not half bad! Playerbase is a bit small, obviously.

This looks interesting I would check it out if I wasn't already busy with WAR.

Hm. When it's installing McAfee goes all insane over it being a trojan and deletes some of the stuff, prompting the installer to give me an error. I'm not too keen on playing something that might have a virus, so if anyone else has gotten it could they please inform me if it is trojan-free?

"Compatibility mode", dude. If he tries running it under "capatability mode" some terrible thing involving elder gods will probably happen.

You say that like it's not a good time to discuss weird people. It's always a good time to discuss weird people.

I was like, ha, this looks like a pretty dumb and boring game. I was so wrong. Gentlemen, I have discovered true fun.

You should never install stuff with Antivirus on. :P In fact, most installations warn you beforehand to turn off virus protection before installing.

Its fine if you have a decent Antivirus like ESET, but McAfee is crap.

Dont think so... but I don't have a guild. Rookpants, feel free to friend me if you're a b12er. Have gotten almost every class to level 5/10 respectively as my experimentation process ^.^
