Let's see if I can't get some screens of my little fort from my normal island... I managed to get all the plants growing in it except cacao and plums. Cacao will, apparently, show up in the random crates every so often... so I've got my fingers crossed.</STRONG>

Just a humble fort on the 1st island. Hovewer it took a lot of time.

With all needed features (crop farm, berries, well, hut, storage, tree house to shoot over the palisade, hammack and even a pier (made from large storage).

Anyone know how to open that one crate on the first island near the turtles?

There's certainly no lock to pick on it.

And Deon, that must've taken some time to build. I only built fences. That must've taken dozens of logs, if not a hundred!

I assume you have enough skill to plant trees?

You find a lockpick after you build your first permanent dwelling(Hut or Treehouse)

As for trees to build palisades, look around him, he's clearcut the entire visible portion of the island.

They're up at the top of long, straight palm trees.

[Spoiler] If you're on the island I'm thinking, most of the banana trees are over by the watchtowers.

You catch parrots the same way you catch butterflies (thanks for tip about weight reduction! I've caught almost every butterfly!

I passed 2nd island very fast - it has a lot of food. The only question - where  to find more nuggets for a golden bow, I have a big problem with carnivores on the 3rd island.
