It appears we have an imitator!

 Still, it is an awesome idea. That was my original plan for the fortress, but I suspect it would have taken several years. I'm taking a guess this took around six years?

 But trust me, the day after tomorrow will see progress, as tomorrow has something that will occupy me all day. That is, unless the windows version of DF runs on macs and I'm particularly quick with Illustrator.

If you're running version 40d, you can download the mac version and place Dwarf Fortress.app in the dwarf fortress directory.  It runs just exactly like the windows version.
