Comin' along rather fine. I've just been occupied with a lot of personal stuff. Today should have a good couple hours of work.

Edit: Before I thought this aquifer drainage system was crazy awesome. Now I don't even know which soil tiles to dig out anymore. Crap. Time for exploration.

Alright Time Kitten, I'll need some help. Could you place some POI's on the map archive or send a diagram of how the heck this is supposed to work? I think I could rig a system that drains the magma, but then comes the issue of everything else.

Wait, DRAIN the magma?

I never thought of that.

Really, I'd probably work on setting up the area to place a cast down in the next level, then use a walled in channel next to the red flooded room to start it draining to the next level.  By the time it gets down, it should only be a couple deep, and easy to get rid of.

And could someone tell me how to set points of interest without crashing the map?

I wasn't planning to well for the third level when two at a time did so poorly, and it'd take another three seasons to get the third, and hardest level, possibly having to set up umps to drain the flooded areas to see where i need magma.  Might be best to leave it for now.

Then there is the issue of mining out the aquifer tiles after making a cast on the outside blocks.

Also, if my plan works, we can keep the grounds flooded all the time and still get 'visits.' This will require a deathtrap for the undesirables, but we already have an ineffective deathpit. Should work.

And goddam there are a lot of pumps now.

yeah, you had to go manually pump some blockage up there so you could channel the lava down to the next level... and just don't ever take off the one by the tombs... I think that might be presurized... but emptying the area via well was brilliant!

Indeed. But bah, he could have swam out of his tomb housing area!

Also, if I'm clever with walls I could just use the ramp designation to take out those aquifer tiles. And the topmost lava ring is drying out nicely. Goodies.

You mean the obsidian farm-like device near the tombs?

I'm not sure anymore what is working and what is just a simple mistake.

I'm sure half of it is just carelessness and stuff I didn't even look at.

As much as I hate to jump the gun, I think we can stick a fork in this topic.  It's done.
