I decided to try my hand at Gobbo's kobold style.

This is the result. Not exactly good, but... the one on the far right is a mama kobold with all her babies. Also, I think I now enjoy kobolds even more than dwarves. Kobold camp for the win.

Not to insinuate gobbo is a thief or anything, but every pic in this thread comes form 4chan. Not sure if he's just copy-pasting them to us or if he actually drew them.

Also,

http://www.anonib.com/_dwarffortress/index.php?b=3

However, it's full of horrible pop-up ads, trojans, and other crap. But if you have confidence in your system's firewall and antivirus it has lots of pictures.

Anonib is horrible. I don't trust that site within ten routing hops of my computer. :<

And like others have said, it's pretty evident that Gobbo actually did make those, and that he or someone else is posting them to imageboards.

So CUTE!

Finding the latest version.. which is it? i took the one on page 3. I also used the boosted graphics on this thread.

I like the mod so far. My main problem; they want a well i cant build since i dont have rope/chain.. nor any way to produce it..
I find this mod a nice change of pace.

Do they have moods?

I think there's a tag to have moods, but you'll probably just lose a bunch of um if you do since you aren't likely to have metal bars, or any sort of thread product.

The [trANCES] tag gives both strange moods and martial trances to a creature, and only dwarves have it in vanilla DF.

I am currently using a gfx pack with graphics I like, but It does not have a complete set of Kobold sprites. How can I use the Kobold gfx from this mod? As in keep everything else just change the kobolds.

Thanks.

Thanks to all those kobold pictures I always let them get away with stealing the old trousers and cloaks.
They need XFrogman leather trousersX more than my dwarves.

That Steampunk Kobold Camp mod is coming along. Right now we're at the steam-powered water vehicles section.

The mod posted includes two primitive versions --  a chopper, which is a simple stone/copper axe, and a shovel -- but I'm sure more couldn't hurt. Either way, I prefer having weapons in such short supply that each caravan is anxiously awaited. With no stone and bone/leather in high demand as armor, you find yourself with very little in the way of trade goods and scrounging to make up for a few copper shortswords.

It's much more of a challenge than, say, being able to crank out all the stone swords you want for your entire village.

I think its pretty reasonable to give, say, maces(or hammers) and spears [CAN_STONE]. It's pretty easy to tie a rock to a stick and use it as a weapon. Give those weapons terrible damage values, but the weapons themselves should exist. Not swords, though, swords are more complicated, probably too tough for Kobolds.
