The entire game has something against my character. I had him learn performer and had him play the lute in a semi-secluded area, but was stopped when some jerk guard threw a rock at me.
Okay, fine, I just learned, I'm not very good. So I go out into the wilderness and start playing, then my pet little girl throws a rock at me.
*sigh* I leave her in my home then go back to the wilderness to play, but as soon as I start playing, a yeek SUICIDE BOMBS me! WTF? Is the entire game trying to comment on the fact that I suck? Seriously!

You have no idea how hard I am laughing, Argonnek. That is so very tragic, but also so very hilarious.

I don't know if I suck at this game, or I just have horrible luck. On all my characters, at around level 7, all my stuff starts to get cursed in my dreams, so I'll be walking (teleporting) around with my health being drained and then I die in etherwind, So then I'm poor, alone, horribly diseased, and very very cursed.

Bed quality has a lot to do with dream quality... what have you been sleeping on?

Also curses are like diseases. They get worse over time and can eventually spread. If you have any cursed items, get rid of them asap.

Inn beds, mostly. Very rarely a sleeping bag. I mostly get the curses from inn beds, though.

Oh, and thanks for the curses tip, I didn't know that.

My character used a few scrolls of feather on a happy bed (not the best bed, but decent enough) and carry it everywhere. Portable sweet dreams!

IIRC there's a feat called Exorcist that reduce the power of curse dreams too.

Head to Palmia and sleep in the kings bed. There's also a giant's bed in the cyberhouse, and eastern beds are both lighter and better then sleeping bags.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

Dear lord, there goes my life. I just downloaded the newest version. It's almost a month old as of right now, but no one here said anything about it. I just logged slightly over two hours into my first character and he's still going strong.

Congratulations, you've just entered a world of little girl mounting, beastiality, mutations, murder and horrible genetic experiments. If you need me I'll be in the corner in the fetal position trying to forget....

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

I showed this game to a friend. He laughed his ass off when I killed Gwen for no reason, then ate her body while saying "free food!". I also told him that you can ride little girls.

I had fun with this a while back, but haven't touched it for a long time now.

It's a shame that leveling up is almost a penalty in Elona.

Yeah, those high-level status-attack-spamming monsters... >_<

That is why I like Mounts, they glitch a few of the status effects. (though I was a Golem so a Mount was like a Miracle!)

* You can now create custom NPCs. They can be also downloaded and imported
from moongates with a summoning crystal (user created maps).

I wonder how the heck that works. Sounds fun.
