Wow, I didn't know special NPCs could be murdered. Awesome luck.

They do, all the time. Pay attention to those assassination messages and you can get rich super fast and finding equipments that you cannot hope to find for a long time.

My memory is terrible, but on the bright side Roguelikes stay fun perpetually because I forget things faster than I learn them!

Oh, I will. Before the body even hits the ground I'll have my hands in their pockets, looking for leather rifles and glass shurikens!

Not sure if he is useful, but EVERY NPC regenerates eventually. At worst, nuke the town and everyone will regrow eventually.

Nuking a town nets you -120 karma IIRC, not to mention the fact that the blast will kill you, incinerate any fire susceptible items and in all make it quite impossible to move around the town, oh did I mention that the blast will NOT kill all of the inhabitants!

It only kills you if your on screen, on the smaller towns it should kill everyone, the karma is minor if your prepared, and burnables would have burnt anyway when a fire dog rolls around.

Yeah, a scroll of incognito, disguise kit or spell would easily help get you out of the negative zone, not to wallets and suitcases can give obscene amounts of positive karma.

The blast doesn't cover the whole town. You need to put the nuke in the exact location as in the quest to cover most of the town, and then still things on the edges will survive. See "To escape alive" and "Some tips" here: http://elona.wikia.com/wiki/Red_Blossom_in_Palmia

I noticed something: ropes. Useful, yes? No, they're only good for hanging yourself, and nothing else. WTF?

I'm happy. <Whom dwell in vanity> just got assassinated.  ;D

Out of interest, how often does "it brings an end" trigger?

Lets just say it shouldn't be your primary weapon, though it is very good when trying to kill civilans

I also learned that with careful planning you too can easily transform an item into an appropriate material, just make sure that you have a *shit* load of medals to do so.

There is a scroll or potion that does give you a good chance to survive the nuke. (50%?) it in fact will heal you
