I've found a bunch of objects that catch signals from God, but I've also never been able to figure out what it does. On a related note, I found a weapon besides the Ragnarok that Brings an end. I didn't realize any weapon could get it, I thought it was limited to the Ragnarok, but oh well, more destruction for me!

Frisia's tail? although if you look at it, it seems to be geared towards magic slinging...

My wizard got incredibly lucky and found this a couple of days back. Apparently it's a neweish fixed artifact that's only included in the few latest versions. I have no idea what the last property does, though, this is the first time I've seen an item that "Catches signals from God".

I got it in the first ambush on my newest character (Not Brill, he's still stuck in the pre-fix versions)

If I were to guess Catches Signals from god COULD mean that the item itself can be used as an Alter. but probably not.

Kinda reminds me of Iter Vehimis Ad Necem.

Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

My only serious complaint about that game is that you seriously need the Wiki to beat the game, well except for MAYBE the early ending. it's Balance needs fixing. HP increasing items shouldn't raise the level's difficulty as dramatically as it does.

When I wore that shell that catches signals from god, I was just about to start worshipping a god...nothing happened before I did, but I started worshipping Mani of Machine, and started getting messages about every other game day or so, and sometimes when I slept.  Stuff like him telling me I should mechanize my body.  I am guessing it didn't have any game effect and is just flavor text, but I don't know if he does that even without the shell.

It's the shell. I had that when I had Jure of Healing as a goddess, and she kept on saying that she would never give me a goodnight kiss. I LOL'd.

Basically, the signals from God thing is flavor text. But I kept on also getting blessed by saints in my sleep, so perhaps it does that too - causes Saints to come to you in your dreams.

Either way, it's generally good for willpower. I WANT IT BACK! I lost my old save recently, and since then, I haven't had anything like that happen.

Also, you get this from a godly hermit crab. Too easy to kill one of those with a level 8 mage and several juere infantry.

Um. Dang.

I seem to have lost the gene machine from the quest with the monster balls. I completed the quest and thought I had picked it up, but I went to drop it off sometime later and it wasn't in my inventory.

Am I screwed forever?

Probably.  If you get REALLY lucky, you might find one later in a lvl 45+ dungeon as a drop or as a 'random item.'  That's how I found my second.

another fix on the homepage.

apparently, it's a version to fix the incompatible save issue.

maybe Torak can make a copy of Brill's save and try it, to confirm if it does indeed do the job?
(or anyone else really, but Torak was the first person i thought of when i checked and saw that update.)

In other news, my mutant thief is steadily plodding along, with a red Putit ranch, in a vain (in both senses of the word!) attempt to get more charisma, so i can gene splice my little girl with something, then marry the resultant abomination.

I'll try it tomorrow.

My favorite race is unfortunately the Mutant and probably will always be.

I just realised that me Golem character is !!!SLOW!!! and I never noticed before. I am amazed I am doing so well compared that all other enemies in the game get to attack 2-3 times before my character can act once (Then again 50, 50 in strength and Constitution does that to a person. I FINALLY got my Dex from less then 10 to 21)
