Yes, as i said i know when etherwind occurs. It starts in one of the first ten days in each month divisible by 3. What bothers me is that once, i went into the shelter as soon as i noticed it, and i STILL got a message about two months later stating "Your Ether Disease has gotten worse" or something. What. On. Earth!?

It grows regardless of the Etherwind, you have to remember that in the backstory you were exposed to a massive amount of it.

Oh hey good point, I forgot about that myself.

Hey here's a question.  If the wind pops up on, say, month 9 day 1, then stops on month 9 day 3.  Is it possible for it to happen AGAIN on month 9 day 6?  Or are you safe as soon as it ends, for about three more months?

Also, can it start on the 10th and run through to the 12th or so?  Or if it hasn't started by the 8th can you be confident it's not going to?

It doesn't appear more than once a month. In my experience it always happens. I don't think i have ever missed the etherwind.

I think it's a vastly amusing thought that elephants are so afraid of heights that when Dwarves invented the Z-axis, they couldn't bear to face dwarves in combat anymore.

Nope. If Etherwind has happened once in a month, it won't happen again until three months later.

Edit: Well waddya know, first time i sleep after the wish my seven league boots go black. Time to check the magic vendor for the slim chance that they might actually have scrolls of uncurse in stock.

Has anyone here completed the main quest? Out of curiosity, on a scale of one to ten, ten being the hardest, how hard is it? I've been trying to get enough gold for good enough equipment to complete it, while still paying my monthly taxes of 3k gold due to the fact I'm so flippin' famous and have a high pet arena title.

On another note: Have you changed what music plays in the game? I've set it so it plays some FF themes, mainly on the world map, in dungeons, my house, and in Derphy (where the theme from Zozo plays :P)

Well, I'd guess 10, considering I get killed playing any piano with a skill of 30 in performing. The tendency of this game to kill you should only get worse if you actually do meaningful stuff.

Quick EDIT (yay new reply ><): No, but I think I should sometimes.

So I see...

Well then, after I finish the part I'm on, a break from the main quest I will take. Of course, by then my character will probably be level 15 or something.

And I'll probably have a huge harem or something. Either way, epic.

So, anyone know anything about the compiler? Is the information at the official site? I don't know why, but I really want to mod this game, even though I suck at scripting.

On an irrelevant topic, my experiences with Elona may become interactive fiction thanks to Inform 7.

My guess is you have to fix the problem with Loyter, the one from Zanan, before the tavern in Vernis is safe.

No, you have to get better than him. Otherwise he's gonna stone you.

And how does one do that?

...

Perhaps the wiki could be of assistance, yes?

On another note, is there anyway to make a caster pet good, so they don't kill themselves? I'm kind of bored having a party of one caster and a bunch of warriors and gunmen.

Also, has anyone been able to access the Elona forum, if so, what is the URL?

The elona forum isn't really worth visiting, unless you're desperately looking for penis enlargement pills.
