Not sure if you noticed, but interacting with an NPC allows you to give them a moving sprite appearance, too. Turn custom to 1 or 2, I forget which.

Yeah, you'll want to get a shelter as soon as possible. Though heavy, it's a portable Vault to escape from the Etherwind.

If the NPCs haven't told you, Etherwind only occurs on certain days. The pattern is: Month divisible by 3: 3, 6, 9, 12-- and only on days 1~10 of those months. If I recall.

And I thought I was screwed when I got caught in the Etherwind and mutated... But that sword MUST be worse.

Whoa. Seriously? Your luck is impeccable that it was that specific guy...

Yeah, I'm not sure what the use of it is. Maybe entertainment. Could be fun to have that happen in a town though!

Man, how do you guys get so good at this game without cheating? I mean, I need help to stop doing that so I can start enjoying Elona for what it really is: the most unusual game I've ever become obsessed with - ever.

Any tips that beginner could use? I plan on seeing if I can pass the game as either a Eulderna Wizard or a Juere Pianist, my two favorite combinations. Without cheating, I hope to pass the game as leisurely as possible, as when I finally get a home connection, I'm getting back into MMOs, but still, I want to pass this game, and then hope that the possible E-MOD is released.
