IIRC Marksman is available only in Fighter's Guild.

The wiki didn't help me here either. :-\

it helped me with that. iirc you gotta punch "trainer" into that searchbox which gives you a table of all the skills and where to get them.

Like this, yo

So, that table tells us you can get it from the either the fighters or the thieves guild.

Ah, great.  That's a helpful chart.

BTW... I found this looking for jobs in Noyel:

I knew jobs to/from Noyel were lucrative, but this... THIS is the way to get rich! ;D

Edit:  I also got a potion of potential from that quest! :o Time to bless and quaff that sucker!

My, um, ally is seriously overloaded with engagement rings and amulets... anyone knows of a safe non-hating way of removing them? I tried throwing acid at her but I've failed so far to melt any jewelry...

As far as I know, acid will only add -1s to armor and not totally destroy it. Fire melts potions and books but I've never lost armor type items to fire. If you get really frustrated you can artmoney yourself some bottles of Herme's blood to increase their speed or love potions to make them like you once you steal their rings, but that's just my inner cheating bastard talking.

You need to be able to burden your allies if they have the weight lifting skill so they can carry more. It would give you a message like "Pet is burdened by the weight".

So I've decided that I'm going to take this gold bell I've tamed and turn it into a tank. And then marry it. I already married my black angel thing, and I need some bisexual polygamy.

Also, I have lost equipment to fire before. Nothing to valuable, but it still happens.

Anyway I figured out what to do: i started giving her jewelry that stacks only. It's a good idea to stick to one kind of engagement jewelry. For instance, one of your targets should receive only nonmagical "iron engagement ring", so it doesn't take more than one spot in his/her inventory screen.

If you're worried about weight, you should use paper engagement rings/amulets. They weigh like 0.001s or something.

And then burn them :).

Not weight, the 20 item limit that pets/allies seem to have.

Someone needs to test whether pets will occasionally eat raw rings/amulets or not.

They ignore items already inside their inventories... they will only eat raw rings/amulets on the ground when not already full.

If you want them to use/consume items (e.g. healing potions, uncurse scrolls), you must give it to them one by one, and only when they need it. Otherwise they will store it in their inventories and ignore it, until you take and give it to them again.

Giving them food when they're hungry makes them eat it, so it's not just stuff on the ground. What I want to know is if the love-ness cancels out the eating-ness with raw engagement stuff.

Giving them food when they're hungry makes them eat it, so it's not just stuff on the ground.

What I was saying is, they ignore what is *already* inside their inventory. i.e. stuff you gave them but not used up immediately.

When you give them a ring or amulet, they always take it as a gift, not food. If they find a raw item on the ground, they eat it when hungry, even if it's a ring or amulet.

What I want to know is if the love-ness cancels out the eating-ness with raw engagement stuff.

I haven't tested this one... all my pets are beyond the level where you can see a number.
