I use the girl.  Does her negotiation skill improve over time?  Or how do I do that?  Is there a place to find new companions?

Also, on cursed weapons.  I just stockpile scrolls of uncurse to use when I get a curse.  It has been working pretty well since my first experience of having cursed items that teleported me all over the place.  That was a nightmare to fix.  Almost as bad as that time that I had really bad karma from failing too many missions.

Shopkeepers will use Negotiation skill, and will benefit from a high charisma. Both will slowly rise with practice.

Juere warriors (or Juere anything) starts with Negotiation, and would be a good choice to start. You can buy one from Derphy.

I don't remember if little girl has negotiation to start with... if not, she can't improve it with use.

If she doesn't have the skill yet, you can still gene splice a Juere warrior into her. The gene splice machine and skill can be found in Port Kapul, after you complete a quest for a NPC there.

White putit corpse and Cupid of Love corpse will increase charisma when eaten. Let you shopkeeper pet eat some. Starting a putit ranch would be a good idea.

Cursed items on you isn't the most painful. Wait and see until a service NPC gets one and you need his/her service.

Or someone got a monster attracting item and dragged the whole town into trouble, especially with summoners.

Or an alien infestation...

I've heard that higher level rogues (rogue master or something like that...?) have both high charisma and high negotiations kills to start with and so are great choices for shopkeepers. I've never had a shop myself, though, only museums... filled with Gwen the Innocents and Mia the Cat Ladies, with the occasional other creature.

Ok, there's something I dont understand, and I think I like the game enough to make me want to know ;D

Potential. How does it work actually? Well, I assume the percentage just displays how fast of a learner you are in that area... but... how does it change? I mean... I can raise it by buying training for PP, but it seems to change while I'm using the skill and naturally advance.

Is PP bought potential something I cannot lose? Because otherwise I'd think twice about spending PP that way...

How is ability potential different from skill potential?

Help me understand that weird system please ;)

That pretty much covers potential. Essentially, every time you go up a level in skill you gain some potential. Every time the skill is incremented by a .X, you lose potential based on your actual skill level. For about the first 10ish levels, you don't have to worry about potential unless its a newly bought skill. After that you will almost definately need to spend PP to maintain your potential and thus the speed of your skill increases. Once you have all the skills you want, pretty much every coin is going to go into boosting potential.

I read that already, I dunno why I cba to run the numbers on a few examples to get a feel. My brain is getting old  :-[

But let me check if I got tht right: when the skill breaks the "level barrier" I GAIN potential.

When it advances within the actual level, I gradually lose potential for every "tick".

Right?

Yes. However as the level increases, the gains lessen and the losses increase.

Duplicate statues give little museum rank... so if you have new statues you should sell the duplicates. Museum has a large but still limited item capacity.

They may give little museum rank, but they still give museum rank, and I haven't hit the item cap yet... so I'll continue adding another statue and card or two every time I pass by :P

I have an item management nightmare at my museum... I will need to spend a lot of time to get all the cards and statues organized...

Good dammit, you can't fuck around in this game; especially if you're a fairy pianist.

There I was! Beaten three rooms full of baddies, yeek kamikaziers, shield weilding bastards, and a room of goblin warriors, plus shamen!

And you know what kills me? A fuckin pumpkin, a fuckin pumpkin! All because of his stupid gay little dumb shitty potions! Although I will admit he was stupid enough to throw a potion of hero at me, but it was the acid that killed me. Shit, you really can't fuck around in this game.

Advice, if you have a wand of healing don't use spells, use that, USE IT!

Mobs aren't ranked by hardness but by skills. Mobs with no skills are pretty much cake. Then comes potion throwers, magic users, etherdisease givers, breathers, and the 20 turn instadeathers. Those will pretty much always kill you.

Pumpkins will no longer be a threat when you have the Sage's Helm... it allows you to see invisible creatures. You can exchange for it with some small medals.
