I'm pretty sure there is no failsafe. You could try sleeping in the kings bed  ;D

well... actually... if you keep no cursed items AT ALL at home... and undress everytime before you go to bed, and put all your items on the floor / in a chest...

its probably failsafe.

but when a "curse item" is rolled during your sleep and you dont have any items, maybe it gets turned into a much worse effect?

I got in on a high quality bed... all these measures are preventative but not failsafe. Not to mention that the two scrolls I read didn't remove said curse, and I don't have any holy water to bless the damn thing.

Remove Curse does not have 100% success rate... the stronger the curse is, the more Remove Curse scrolls you'll have to use.

Also Vanish Curse is a stronger version of Remove Curse.

If you take 3 Luck feats at character creation, you will get very very little bad dreams. There's also a feat called Exorcist which blocks cursing whispers.

I suggest wearing crappy equipments which weigh nothing, paper equipments or cloth, than going to sleep. It's what I use to do in ADOM when ever I tried converting. OH! Forget about paper! Make it raw, sos you can eats it if it gets cursed.

Regarding stripping to prevent cursing when sleeping: The game's maker stated that he put in a countermeasure to prevent doing that. Theres nothing to stop you from sleeping naked, but evidently there is a different problem that you can have happen to you if you do. My bet is on incubus/succubus making you their pet.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

Did you play the "storyline" ?

If you crawl 4 levels deep or so into that dungeon that is mentioned in the 'J'ournal, find the wounded guy and then visit the king you get a potion of cure corruption.

Its the easiest way to get one, if you havent done already.

Yup... other than the main quest, the next best option is from casino. The third would be from your pets... when you marry them you get one as a gift. Some said they see a fair amount for sale in magic shops if heavily invested, but personally I haven't seen much in two rank 100 shops...

What do I need to do in the casino to get a potion? Win x times in a row? x being?

5 1-chip bets at Blackjack should do the trick.

EDIT: You have to win five times in a row, though.

Speaking of which, is there a more efficient way of finding chips/yen than just {s}earching in all those harvest spots and hoping for the best?

One reason I like the Juere, they harvest more per square so chips are not a problem.
