Epic.

And is the game gender confused, or did I simply pick the wrong one?  I'm wearing bronze armor, but it looks more like a dress.  Archibald VanHappy seems to be quite busty, as well :O

Body 1 is a male's body, 2's a female's. When choose sprites, set clothes and pants to zero. ;)

Oh my.  Well, after figuring out how to do it, I made a new guy, with the nickname "Name Good man".  Seems appropriate.

Doesn't matter much, you will die anyway. That's the one constant in Elona along with mutations.

So I've learned.  If you get a mutation, does it affect your character's sprite, or will it stay the same no matter what horrible things happen to you?

It stays the same. I got hooves once, which made it so that I gained a bunch of speed but couldn't wear shoes. My character didn't have hooves; he just walked around barefoot.

Another question, I finished an escort quest, and the escortee gave me a deed of heirship, and now I can inherit three items. Does that happen automatically when said character dies, or do I go somewhere, or what?

You have to open your heir chest at home, but it only works on gene files that you got through marriage on another file.

Oh well, maybe I'll marry my dog or something.

So my little girl has Ragnarok, a "sword that ends all" with 5-39 damage. It's really powerful.

So we're going through a cave and suddenly I get a little message: "Let's Ragnarok!"

And then a ton of fire and a bunch of huge enemies (some were titans) appear and kill me in one turn.

This is a dangerous sword.

Edit: oh god they're still down there.

The bear pet is next to useless, I'm just playing a goblin tourist who lets the little girl do all the fighting.

I suppose I should think about training or actually doing quests though.

I went through a Moongate and ended up in some kind of house full of evil cubes with untranslated names.

Hmm, that's odd. Elona 1.14 doesn't run for me. Just a black screen, though I did get a language prompt. I'll try 1.13.

I blame Vista. It's easier, and correct about 85% of the time. Russia and Georgia? Vista. Global warming? Links back to Vista.

On the official forum people said if you get the chat program (Elochat) and start it up, then Elona can run correctly.

Someone investigated and said it's because of some files are absent - and they are generated by Elochat.

I'm still playing 1.13 though... doing an experiment about furniture values.

Hm, Elona 1.14 works fine for me and I'm not running Elochat.
