So what did you do to lower your karma so much? Murder? Stealing? Prostitution?

I'm personally thinking of joining the Theifs guild. I wanna learn pickpocket damnit!

Haha, well all you have to do is not pay your taxes for 4 months in a row.

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

It's fun for a while but being able to only go to one city gets old kinda fast. Especially since it limits where you can travel somewhat.

Edit: Also why do rogues start off with medium armor skills when light armor is the one that uses dexterity?

Can someone help me out with something? I wanna do the Nuke palmia quest, but I can't carry the nuke. It's too heavy! Anyone know how I can deal with this problem?

Well potions of hero increase your strength by alot so you could try that.

Potentially. He was working on another game, in Flash, which put Elona on hold. A healthy hiatus, I think. In any case, he plans to release a compiler, which I believe is the source, so modding could take over anyway.

Only, he said compiler and not source, so I'm not precisely sure as to his meaning. The idea was that players could do a lot with the game from there, so whichever...

Hm, potions of hero and fly scrolls, yeah. Also, do you have a really tough pet? Maybe they can carry it.

O.O Noa is planning on releasing a compiler? Sweet. Modding this game sounds like so much fun!

I lost my lv.8 mage save for some reason. When I turned my home computer on last, the entire directory was gone.

Either way, not sure what kind of character to play. I do fairly well as wizards, claymores, and farmers, but race is more complicated to decide.

Will decide in a bit I suppose. There's a copy of Elona on this public computer too.

And apparently there is a copy of my old save on it XD

Anyway to mitigate the feast or famine aspect of this game?

I've only made it to level 6, but on every character I played I run into the same stuff.

Enemies 1 shot me or cause no damage

There are 30 corpses around or 0

I have 4000 gold or 0

The shops have 10 stethiscopes/leashes/sleeping bags or 0

Also, any advice on what to catch with your first monster ball? I got one of those orange/yellow horse one time and it was pretty good.

What equipment do you guys choose to identify... seems like an insane money sink. Any good archer/wizard builds or walk throughs?
