Cool. Thanks. I usually abandon chars if their karma goes that low, but t\on my latest I actually got to buy a ranch, which is the farthest I've ever gotten. By the way, what do you do with ranches?

Meh, I might try it once the translation is finished.  Too much is untranslated right now.

If you have a pet, you can set them to breed at them. You don't need two, which is kind of strange, but I guess they find their own somehow. Haven't experimented with it much, mostly because I lost the capture balls for a quest that apparently gives you the tool to use with genetics. The wiki is at least somewhat useful if you run it through google trans, which is how I found out that that's where you get it from.

As was posted earlier, you can buy 'indulgences' at the church in Noyel. It's fairly expensive, but it brings you near the 'legal' area of karma again. If it doesn't (you may need to leave the city and come back for the guards to take into account your new karma), you can do some missions in Derphy to get your karma up again. There aren't any guards there, as it's the city of thieves, so to speak. Honestly, though, I usually just recreate rather than go through all that effort, unless the character is already pretty good... but if that's the case, I usually just spawn a new adventurer from the gene.

Speaking of, marriage is awesome. You can do it over and over, and out of the three times I've done it, each time gave me a cure corruption potion and some decent equipment. Cure corruption potions are the win.

How exactly do you use genetics abyway? And where are you trained in it?

Port Kapul's trainer lets you buy the skill, and a nerd-looking guy in the SW corner gives you a subquest to get the gene machine. He'll give you some monster balls... fill them all up with monsters and return them to him, and he'll give you the machine. As long as you have multiple pets, you can use the machine to combine two... this takes certain skills/features/experience from the first creature, destroys it, and gives it to the second creature.

Wow, I couldn't figure it out by myself.
Also what's the right way to edit text files? Every time I try to add my translation and save, I end with unreadeble file with all tabulations and "enters" gone...

How to put things in containers? (Shelves/freezer etc.)

The house editig thing is the most awesome! I've made a small palace from my 1st cave =).

Also when I ask a pet to wait at the town, where does it go?
And is there a way to let is stay where it is?

P.S. WOW a lot of questions... Sorry guys =)
When I search something, I get "charcoal", "yelling madman(2)" and other stuff. How to look at it?
Also is there a way to examine your full inventory except "X" and "d"?

P.P.S. How to use a deed? =)

Yay! I don't feel bad about asking all of those questions anymore! By the way, you read a deed out on the global map and it will be built. Except Heirship deeds. I'm kinda stumped on those. Maybe it goes to your kids?

Oh dear. Lots of questions... let's see what I can manage.

In the text files, there's an ENG tag or something. The translation goes in there. The text files themselves mention it... honestly, I haven't fiddled with that much.

To put things in a container, 'o'pen the container, then press 7 or 9 to swap from the 'take' to the 'put' menu. This works with a lot of different screens, too. It works on the companions' inventory screens, your character sheet, even the politics board in the towns (there is a screen with town laws, but it's untranslated... would be nice to know what it says).

When you ask a pet to wait at the town, I'm pretty sure they go to the 'stable'. Talk to the pet resurrection guy to get them back.

The 'charcoal', 'yelling madman', etc. are materials. Press 'm' to view them. They're used for skills like jewelry, carpentry, etc.

Heirship deeds -are- for your children. When you make a 'child' character, all the objects in the 'parent's inventory (and I assume whatever you put in the heirloom chest manually) get put in the kid's heirloom chest in their house (near the refrigerator). Heirship deeds let you take a certain number of objects from that chest. It's nice, since it lets you get artifacts and stuff from your old character on your new one. As near as I can tell, unblessed ones give one or two heirlooms from the chest, and blessed ones do two or three.

As I said if I try to save as a usual unicode, it messes up...

P.S. 3 more questions:
1) What is the heir trunk?
2) how do I take traders to my shop? I can hire some at house, but not at the shop. And what does the "investments" do, improve the quality of the items sold?
3) how to put monsters in the monster balls?

I dunno, then. Now...

1) See above. If you start a character via a 'gene', you can use heirship deeds to take your old character's possessions for the new character.

2) I don't know. I've never done shops. I'm going to assume that you need the board (the one you use to hire people for your house) in your shop. You can buy them most reliably in the tax-outpost.

3) Throw the ball at a monster when it is:

a) A level at or below the ball's level
b) Weak. Usually, it has to be at HP low enough that it starts running. Sometimes lower, sometimes they just don't run.

Additional note: If you use the ball after, the monster becomes a companion... but I wouldn't do this with the balls that the nerd/gene-guy gives you.

There's a girl in Derphy who gives you nukes for something like 15000. Presumably, I have to do something with them, but I set it off in Derphy and watched everyone die a glorious death.

You need a companion or pet to man a shop. You assign them like you do in ranches. Drop stuff anywhere inside and he'll try to sell it. I had one of those acid slimes manning mine O.o Very odd.
