I found Nuyel! It's in the north eastern corner of the map, and is the most north eastern label on that wonderful little map. The location north of the embassy is a great temple of sorts, which has altars to a bunch of gods.

Edit: Just a note about pets, you can resurrect dead ones by talking to bartenders. I lost so many pets before I realized that.

If you run the wiki page for the map through google translation, you can hold your cursor over the English names below the map, and it'll show the Japanese for it. You can then match the Japanese up to the map. That's how I've been doing it. The 'English' names in the translation don't match up exactly with the game, but it's close enough to figure it out.

EDIT: Anyone know how to get rid of cursed objects? I got a character going pretty well, and then I put on doomed shoes that make me teleport randomly every couple steps. It kinda sucks.

I've never gone east enough to bump into Nuyel yet, can you get delivery quests that go to there? And thanks, Rabek! I didn't know Google could do that.

About the shoes; a scroll of uncurse should solve that. I swear I had an NPC uncurse me once but I can't remember for sure...

Attempting to uncurse a doomed item has the item 'resist' it :/ I went through four scrolls. Maybe I need a blessed one. And yeah, I didn't know Google could do that, either, before today. I think that mouseover bit was recently added.

Delivery quests to Nuyel are available, and tend to pay between 9000 and 20000. They are extremely profitable.

With regards to curses, I tend to just keep using scrolls until one succeeds, but I'd bet blessed scrolls work better.

I need to get to North Tyris, can somebody put up a map that shows it's location?

If I'm not mistaken, North Tyris is the entire country, isn't it? At least, the NPCs in Vernis insist that their town is the biggest mining site in North Tyris, I think.

Thanks, now I have hired a female adventurer, all the faces are blue on both the impress and attract, so how do I marry?

How did you manage that? I can get attract all the way, but impress tends to go all the way red by the time I get there.

Engagement rings and amulets, that should work.

Yeah, Engagement items really increase impress. Letting them get kills seems to slowly increase impress. When they get killed they lose a ton of it.

Bien, you can use the "may I ask for your hand?" dialog option when talking to them, with the 'i' key. I haven't really messed with the incarnate option yet, but a test wizard character incarnated from my warrior seems to have decent weapon and armor skills. Interestingly, you can incarnate to any race, like a golem or lich...

The items you get from marriage are *great*. I was given metal armor with a defense value of 3 and a protection value of 12, I believe, and a bunch of platinum coins.

I only see talk, trade, and bye bye things. Must be because I hired her.

Yeah, I'm guessing you have to have her join you. Sorta like when people join for escorts, that option isn't available.

Oh, I just found something neat. The House Board (signboard?) in your home: walk onto it and hit "t", and you can get a list of options. One of them lets you redesign the place, and another allows you to store allies and hire people, apparently.

There you go, Bien. From a post on page one. Anyways, the Vaynich Manuscript? What's that? Did you go on the main quest?

I've been looking through the dialog in the /data/ folder and it appears that Google can translate a few lines of text with variable accuracy. Maybe there's a way to figure out what the main quest is all about.
