The gameplay (SPECIFICALLY the fighting) is a very, very, very random and unfun part of the game.

The rest is awesome, no doubt.

Ah, if it's a disease attribute (or a mutation), then it's possible to see it under your feat's (and you get an additional feat every five levels, and more skill points every level)

Cure Corruption for Disease, Cure Mutation for Mutation.

But, you only have to be exposed momentarily for the ether disease to start progressing again after curing yourself, as far as i'm aware, but, as you do more quests and more dungeon runs, you'll tend to be able to stockpile more potions in your home, or another such safe place, than you use.

The easiest Cure Corruption potion you get though, is by heading down to L3 of the dungeon south of your home, talking to the scout, then talking to the king in Palmia.

As for the guards attacking you with positive Karma, that is odd, and i can honestly think of no reason why they should, as i've murdered citizens infront of guards before for merely stepping in my way over and over again, or standing in a way that blocks me leaving, without them attacking me.

On that note, whenever I go to Yowyn, i kill Gwen the Innocent, as i get no Karma hit for it, and the first time you do so, you get to steal her arms and armour, that netted me this time, a longsword of lightning, that i've long since given to my pet. Of course, killing Gwen requires you're strong enough to initially, though anyone with Magic Arrow can do so in a few hits, easily enough.

Going to the dungeon inside Vernis, and letting the putits surround you and attack you gives you ALOT of dodging exp and regular exp.

Wow, how did you guys figure all this stuff out anyway?  The in-game help doesn't do much, and I never would have thought of some of the tips you guys are giving.

What is the deal with trade skills?  Things like cooking, fishing...  How do I use those?  I see a lot of extremely well-paying quests for food items, but I have no idea how to cook.

Also: What's the deal with cards?  If I use them, can I summon that monster to fight with me or something?  Idols too, I've seen a few of those...

And is there a way to store money at your house?  I can't find a way to drop gold, and I'm sick of getting it all stolen by the bandit on the road (who also takes my food, stupid jerk.)

If you find yourself walking around the world map blind and confused, it's most likely due to heavy rain, not a curse effect. Heavy rain can blind/confuse you while you're walking on the world map. Annoying, yes, but totally normal.

As for trade skills, you need the appropriate crafting object, usually. For cooking, you can use stoves in most baker's shops, or you can find a cooking kit. Alchemy requires an alchemy kit (there is also usually one on the floor in magic shops that you can use). Fishing, obviously, requires a fishing rod and bait. There is a fishing shop in the little starting city.

Cards and statues are for museums. Place them inside the museum to increase the revenue the museum generates for you.

I don't think there's a way to store money at your house, but there are the cat-banks mentioned earlier in the thread... and, if you select the other option for the bandits, you can fight them. I usually use that option, then run like hell to get away, rather than fight. Teleport scrolls help a lot, here. If you die, you can always just close the game before it saves and open it again, anyway >_>;

Things that you leave in your house never go away, no matter what it is, it never gets stolen either.

About money, just steal a chest from some dungeon and lug it back to your house, that's what I did. It's heavy though (mine was 300 pounds, REALLY increased my weight lifting skill).

Can you guys help me out? I'm trying to be a cook, but I can't figure out how to store things in the freezer. Or anything else, for that matter. Are containers one-way?

EDIT: And I'd be willing to bet 20$ that the quality of the crafting tool in question does indeed effect the outcome, but maybe only subtly. Using a heavenly oven, I'm sure I get better results, more consistently.

Theres a spell called "wish", and you also have a chance at getting one by drinking at the wells in towns.

You also have a chance of getting it by learning it in your sleep.  You have to have some magic ability to use the spell though.

Okay, I've been trying to play this game since yesterday and made a bunch of adventurers. I made a farmer just now but can't find anything to "farm" (although cooking is welcome). Is it possible to plant crops or such? I see a gardening skill but can't seem to find any seeds or anything so I guess not.

This thread really helps me a lot though, thanks.

edit: Also, I noticed it's a harsh world for pianists... I'm having a 50/50% chance of surviving a performance.

This thread really helps me a lot though, thanks.

edit again: Found an english wiki, but it's quite empty.
also sorry for not seeing the difference between quote and edit...

There's four seeds in the very last part of the vernis dungeon. But they're a bitch to get (It took me multiple save scums to get my level 5 Claymore to kill all those goddamn slimes).
