Recently, I've been playing Brill, looking for some more engagement items to marry one of my allies and make a gene. I took a drink out of a well in Vernis order to see if I could get yet another good mutation (I'm actually pretty sure I managed to save-scum my way to having all the good ones at max) and suddenly, a Disciple of Fire pops out. I thought no problem, I'll just kill him. I guess this was a super disciple, because I just couldn't hit the sunova bitch. A couple of turns spent flailing at him with my Diablo and he decides to summon a horde of Fire Dragons, Flame Hounds, Drakes, Fire Ents, and even some Red Putits for good measure.
Take note, Brill is practically invincible, and has been so for a long time now, so the last thing I was worried about was death, what I was worried about was all of my equipment. I still haven't managed to fireproof all of my important artifacts.
So I book it. I ran east, hoping they'd run into good Old <WDiV> and he'd just wipe them all out for me.
Lo and behold, he's dead. Nothing near him, no monster, just his dead body, card, figure, and all of his rather amazing equipment. Needless to say I took it all and ran out of Vernis.
So now I've got all of his equipment and a pretty screwed Vernis, I already managed to blow up Vernis to kill off an Alien infestation once. But I really don't care about them anymore anyways.
What sucks though is that you can't Dual wield Ragnarok and Diablo at the same time, they're not different enough in weight to be effective (I get a 99% hit with the one in my main hand and a 66% hit chance with the other, making it pretty useless for the purposes of killing these extremely strong monsters that I run into all the time, because actual hit chance are somewhere around 70% and 30%, and I'd rather just have my shield instead of the other sword if it's never going to hit). So I just carry them both around. I'm looking for a material changing kit in order to see if I can make one of them super heavy or super light.
