I'm slightly confused. What is the point of this thread?
He finds random neat games, and shares them.

Usually without even the basest of info to accompany the links, meaning most of them will never be clicked.

Yeah, I need a little more than 'this thing exists' to pique my interest in a game.

The fact that this is still going six years later is pretty funny, given that Yamo hardly ever posts anywhere else.

i was poking around Shinyloot, http://www.shinyloot.com/galaxy-union?re=custom-filter-rec-6, and found Galaxy Union.  He is also working on a new game that also looks very cool.

You something else that is odd, but kinda neat about Yamo, and this thread?

Is that they're all posted in the same hour block of time.

This showd up 4/1/15...now buried in time.

Slitherine starts designing its military hardware
close

The wargaming veterans over at the Slitherine Group announced today that there business will be expanded in a completely new direction. Having tons of experience with simulating wars in the digital realm, the men and women of the group have gained lots of knowledge and know-how on advanced weapon systems and military hardware. As such, Slitherine Group Chairman JD McNeil announced that a new company branch will be opened, focussing on the research, development and production of new, real world, weapon systems.

JD explains: “Having developed digital combat simulations set in all different times, we have gained a lot of insight on the weapon systems used, the comparisons between them and the development cycles of the different types of military hardware. It was when we worked together on several modern warfare titles that we looked at these weapons and thought: We can do better!”

Rumours were already in the air regarding this new step for the Slitherine Group, with several journalists spotting key company members in the international arms fair in Saudi-Arabia earlier this year.

“Don’t get me wrong. ” Said JD McNeil: “We will continue to develop serious wargames, as that is where our passion lies and our core audience can be found. But developing and selling actual military hardware will allow us to generate a bigger income which we can then invest into making better and more accurate games.”

Marketing director Marco Minoli jumps in: ”It would be very cool to see in a couple of years that we can create games based conflicts where our own weapons where used! ”

An exact timeline on when we could expect to see the Slitherine branded weapon systems could not be given. But we should expect to see more in the next two to five years.
