Well, just posting a link doesn't make most people want to waste the time or bandwidth it takes to click on it without something else to get interested.

On that note:
http://darkswords.eu/index.php
A F2P MMORPG. Seems interesting, but most of the good stuff requires "platinum" which you have to buy with real money.

flight sim, tank sim, space sim, "(19/09/2010) 3rd person dwarf view mode added..."

a busy fellow!

The sim games appear buggy and slow, just watching the videos. The link for Power Grid(I assume that's what it's called) gives a 404. And Noble Ape is some kind of life sim.

a little guy effort i found at: http://www.spacesimcentral.com/portal.php
SpaceShipSim. Horrible name, but looks cool, downloading now. Looks like a spaceship sim(DUH) with focus on large battleships with many turreted weapons.

an eve competitor?
EVE is a game about starships. Earthrise looks somewhat like a rape-baby of Syndicate and Deus Ex that, after a failed abortion, was transferred over to a surrogate mother, who drank. A lot. it's based on a single city on Earth.

That said, it was slated for launch in Q2 2010, but all I see is a link to sign up for beta. Plus, it's not free or F2P, it's a monthly subscription. No price was given in the FAQ, just the arbritrarily vague "Prices will be comparable to other MMORPGs on the market." (translation, "Too damn much.")

You might want to send a horde of elephants after Microsoft.  Noctis is a DOS program, and DOS support has been slowly eroded from Windows for the past few years now.  Vista has practically no (if any at all) DOS support.
I specifically have an old 286 for this very reason running on DOS 5.0 If you can believe that! :)

Okay now THAT'S awesome.

...I keep being tempted to build one up myself for classics like Starflight II, which nothing can quite emulate the speed of correctly since it was this bizarre hodgepodge of CPU-limited execution and timers.  (Not to mention the sound effects on the title screen.  Pretty damn awesome for motherboard sound.)

dosbox works (in most cases, but needs a fair bit of coaxing for some games)

Oh hey!  Yeah I played Yserbius online a year back or so.  Totally awesome.  Not a remake, not exactly emulated; they took the old game and updated it to work over TCP/IP.  http://sites.google.com/site/innrevival/home
