So...what game were you refering to?

Just got X3 from a discount stack.
Many things in it remind me of the multitude of expansionpacks we made for oolite over the years.
Tried X2 years ago, didn't get the controlls... at least: I did not have enough patience at the time.
Same with Clonk, DL it, didn't get it, got bored and started a chasm fortress with miners only.
My attention span must be declining as I age, used to play games without manual untill they made sense. :/ Modern games tend to be more complex though.

Again micro12:
It might be useful to mention the game you are referring to?
As I don't get your query, I've probably not played the game in question...

Then again, I consider Infinity to be overly ambitious, something that might easily spell it's downfall.

If you want to know that badly, you could go ask the boards at GameFAQs...

I'll put the poor thing out of it's misery:

the big blue ball is a jump point. when your ship is somewhere around the centre, and press 'J'ump. there is an annoying long animation, then you end up on the other side.

on your nav map, the sun/turtle/dwarfin symbols are planets/space stations. fly over them, press 'C'ommunications, and ask for docking clearance. another painfully long animation will occur, then you can run around and do stuff. go to the exchange, and sell your stuff. and please, it's called 'Basin'.

happy now?

yes, there are other planets, that's what i implied in my post. there can be multiple planets/space stations/asteroids in the same system.

you can try to make a profitable business of a freelance food trade with starved asteroid mining bases, but might take you a whole lifetime to get enough for a decent upgrade, let alone a decent ship. smuggling plutonium is so far the most profitable business around, but is quite dangerous.
