My hunter was wrestling groundhogs, brings their corpse to butcher shop, butcher butchers and cook renders fat and cooks meat but the bones, chunks, skulls and skins remain in butchers shop.  My idle dwarfs with refuse hauling activated don't move to carry these things to my outdoor refuse stockpile.  So I deconstructed the butchers shop hoping that would fix the problem by spilling the refuse out.  They still don't move to transfer the gibs.  So I build a refuse stockpile over half the refuse hoping that would signal the dwarfs that it is in fact a refuse stockpile.  They still don't use it.

First question, the obvious:

1) Are dwarves allowed to go outside
2) is the refuse pile configured properly (easiest way: accept all refuse and then disable bones and skulls
3) Is the butchershop built outside? If so Do dwarves ignore refuse outside?

1) There is no "inside" at the moment so yes.
2) Accepting all refuse, including bones and skulls.
3) Yes.

• rders, [r]efuse options, dwarves ignore
• utside refuse.  It will become dwarves gather
• utside refuse.  This should fix your problem.  That is assuming you forgot to set it like I do at times.
