If you thought a Goblin Thief was annoying, wait until a Chryssalid starts infecting your fortress!

@Rhenya: if you want to find the German speaking people on this forum to narrow things down, you can look up my spoken languages thread at Various nonsense, but not every dwarf fortress player can be found here, so it might be useless.

Other than that I would like to see a merge in where DF is combined with reel bass fishing.

It will be an impossible game, but increadibly entertaining and fun.

Dwarf Fortress+System Shock 2

This is an -=*Assault Rifle*=-. It menaces with spikes of French-Epstein Device. There is an image of a dwarf and Hybrids on this item. The Dwarf is shooting the Hybrids. There is an image of SHODAN on this item. SHODAN is laughing.

Dwarf Fortress+Mount And Blade

The combat and overworld map play like Mount And Blade, while managing your Fiefs is akin to Fortress Mode. Not content to just "Build Mill" or "Build School", you will design each and every village from the ground-up. Additionally, you can found new villages, bandit lairs, etc. Combat is action-based akin to M&B, with numerous melee/grappling options, as well as the ability to man siege engines, flip levers, and operate screw pumps (Rotate WASD as quickly as possible clockwise to turn the pump...). There are assorted contests one can participate in, from jousts to archery tournaments, and if you become lord of your own little fief, you too can host them in the name of attracting champions or otherwise entertaining your peasants.

Somehow, this thread has led me to the conclusion that Dwarf Fortress is just a vastly more complicated version of Pacman.

Pacman: Has a little fortress thingy in the middle of the map.
Pacman: Has undead.
Pacman: Requires the harvesting of fruit and veggies that "pop up" suddenly from the ground.
Pacman: You have to run around "mining" hundreds of relatively worthless "stones", occasionally finding chunks of powerful "ore" which you can use to defeat the undead, but only for a while.
Pacman: To escape the undead, flee into a tunnel.
Pacman: Endless repetition of mining out new "z" levels.
Pacman: The only way to identify the female of the species is by the little pink bow on her(?) bald head.
