Hello everyone. Thanks to Toady for being awesome enough to sticky this. This is the thread for the GURPS Dwarf Fortress game I run on worldirc, normally in room #cave although the room may change depending on the quest in hand. We usually plan these games on #bay12games or #RTD. Games are on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 PM Eastern onward. Probably Fridays if enough people show up too. :P

NOVEMBER 28 UPDATE:
I added the Goblin, Kobold, and Troll Templates to the list. Depending on how the game progresses in terms of general insanity, one might see some of the other learn-speak races lurking about; I.e. the assorted Xmen (Batman, Cave Swallowman, etc). Of course, this depends on the social dynamics of the fortress; since the players ARE organizing a government from scratch, they have the option of choosing how socially liberal or conservative they wish to be, or the type of government system they operate under. Are they religious fundamentalists, magocrats, or (Urist Forbid) Anarchocapitalists? That's up to the players, and I encourage player politics to see who attains what positions.

I do not know if I can run a game tonight. If I don't make it, assume that a week of gametime has passed and plan your actions accordingly, perhaps using the time to roleplay it out.

Fortress Inventory and Locations:
Below is a partially completed list of everything located in the fortress. You'll notice a lot of tag notation in here; this is mainly because the information in there is to be manipulated through the DFGURPS program I'm writing. Depending on how much spare time I get, this project could get increasingly sophisticated. Assuming I end up creating an actual hexmap system for this badboy, I may end up building hex savefiles for everything.  ;D

Templates:
I miscalculated the cost of Martial Trance (I.e. treating the corresponding disadvantage as its own disadvantage that only activates when the advantage is on, rather than a limitor to the advantage) and am going to see if I can balance Strange Mood with it in order to keep base point cost fair. Otherwise, I may end up giving extra points to the nondwarfs to compensate. Additionally, I may drop strength for the Elf and Kobold (i.e. St 8 for a Sm-2 creature is a generous amount especially since weight is derived from St), and balance it out with more stuff. If this is an issue, feel free to PM me.

Which is a shame as at the rate the thread is adding more data and textfiles (especially since if I plan this correctly, this will not be the only fortress in the game), I suppose I'll have to find another site to store all the assorted character information.

So have you been getting many requests for new characters on IRC? We could use a good immigrant wave.

Been getting several. Wondering how they'll all meet up. I'll prolly think of some way to get them in the group.

Updated again, added templates for Kobold, Goblin, and Troll players as well as somewhat updated character descriptions. Don't know if I can play tonight, will have definite answer by 5:00-ish.

Well, another great session with a healthy dose of dwarves getting their legs shot off by ballistae, a siege ended by the spirit of a king from the Age of Legends and last, but not least, drugs.

That electric eel man..He had some real self confidence issues, his eyes shooting out rainbows and all. But I think him and that elephant got things setlled at the end..yeah.
