Owned.  I've never gotten past level 4, so I haven't seen many magic items.

Once again; DO NOT KICK GRAVESTONES UNLESS YOU'RE PREPARED. OR SUICIDAL.

You get spammed by 'evergravesuperuber zombie hits you' and 'nottoosuperuber zombie misses you' and then you have one turn to run or dimension out of there.

Oh, hell, just stay out of graveyards entirely. I lost two characters to the things that hang out in them. Hint: they weren't emo kids.

Hey I just started trying this out.  You know when you press "y" and it brings up a menu with a whole bunch of options?  What do they all do?  Like "Enlist", what is that?  What about "Tie Up"?  Can you actually tie up creatures with that so they can't act?  Is there a list anywhere of what all those things actually do?

Also, I'm playing a bard with the Alluring feat, how do you tell what sex a creature is?

I think you can tell gender with L.  The Y menu... I assume Enlist asks a neutral creature to join your party... this is also available through the [t]alk menu, as can some of the others.  Tie Up is rather tantalising, but I don't know if it's implemented, or how to make it work if it is.  You can use Apply to rub a potion on something- so far the only use of this I know is Oil of Transformation, which warriors start with, used to turn a weapon into a different one of your choice, preserving its enchantments (!).

I was never able to tie something up...  I tried enemies that had surrendered, enemies that were magically stunned, enemies that were asleep, ally summoned creatures, everything...  Doesn't work.

If it did work, then live sacrifice would be so much easier.

I found a good way to kill tough enemies!  Drop an amulet of strangling near them. ;D

For added efficiency, cast Nysrtom's Magical Aura on it!

I bet he never comes back to it.  Sucks too, because it could be a good game.  I don't think we'll ever hear from him.

Eh, my money's on the author coming back.

...He'd better, because I tried to get back into the game, and suffered from so many crashes I gave up.  First one was just going down a staircase, second one was trying to target myself with some explosive psionic power, third one was when I discovered that my awesome phasing armor showed up in my 'eat' list and decided to try the obvious.

Crashes like that seriously beg for open source.  I don't really believe that open source makes "all bugs shallow" by any stretch, but seriously...three months of community bugfixing would make that game PLAYABLE.

You know, I've been playing for a good while now and have only seen male creatures, thus making my bard's Alluring Feat utterly useless.  I wonder if setting the default race for character creation to male made that happen for NPCs as well...  I also almost never find living humanoids, though I find tons of dead ones.  It's rather annoying.

Same. Everything is male, it seems. Even in wizard mode spawning a ton of humanoids resulted in a room full of angry, sweaty men. Unless the creature in question is always female (sylphs, nymphs, succubi) in which case they usually have so much charm and diplomacy that alluring isn't very useful.

Also interesting, Incursion apparently has multi-tile monsters. I spawned a dragon in wizard mode. It was awesome. Reminded me of Baldur's Gate in its "Holy CRAP that's a Dragon"-ness.

I once accidentally summoned a giant clockwork gorilla.  It wasn't very happy.  Our acquaintance didn't last very long.

I hate anything clockwork, at low levels (I usually don't get to level two, sadly most of the time it's due to crashes) they are extremely hard to kill.
