My most value so far is this. 900,000

Too bad that wasn't an image of a diamond in diamond.  That would have been awesome.

Only vaguely. Made of the same substance and put to the same use, but a bit like comparing a castle and a doublewide trailer.

I currently have an artifact STEEL SPEAR.  My militia commander makes a habit of using it to kill gobbos with a single stab to the face.  And guess what is depicted on the spear?  A picture of the goblin king.

The last thing the goblins see before they die is the king that sent them to their death.   :P

Well, my best artifact... I feel like it's in the making now.

My weaponsmith just went secretive.

He likes steel and short swords.

Guess what does my military use.

EDIT: Yup! A steel short sword, now used by my militia commander. Worth like 134k, decorated with two pinfire opals. Has an image of a ring in steel and hanging rings and another decoration in said opal.

...and it has a quite lame name, but hey - it's a great weapon.

I currently have an artifact STEEL SPEAR.

SPEAR OF RAW STEEL!! High chances that you wont get the reference though.

My new fort (finally succumbed to the lure of .25) produced a leather backpack. I hope one of the soldiers will nab it when I figure out the military.

No, Kherab only gives you the Shield of Raw Steel and the amulet, if I recall correctly... the spear was never released.

Yeah, that's why the Spear of Raw Steel is so special, no one knows how to get it. Could be an unfinished quest, but no one can tell. GOSH those artefacts were powerful!! And so corrupting...

For the reference, this is the epic roguelike ADOM. I've been playing it for 7-8 years, and frequented the forum as well. Imagine DF Adventurer mode, just with a different level layout, and no lag =D . We discuss DF in there as well!

Best so far is in my most successful fort yet, Ishemas the UltraCave. At least in my opinion.

Ungegtenshed "FailureChance" a goblin bone crown
-This is a Goblin bone crown. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is encircled with Goblin Bone, Goat Bone and Cow Bone

This was made BY A CHILD! Bone coming from a failed Goblin siege. I'm not sure WHERE this bone came from but I'm hoping the little guy had some taste and chose a bone from the Goblin Administrator that came along for a siege.

though...my most useful has been my Artifact Adamantine BattleAxe. It depicts a hippie an elf getting struck down by a Dragon. Twelve notable kills so far and 5 lesser kills.

Scratcheast the Weaver of Shearing, a adamantine pick.

I downloaded the latest save for ardentdike just to see what was going on. Shortly after starting a metalcrafter became possesed.  its value is 1210800¤

My best artifact? I'm honestly not sure. Favorite artifact, however, is easy.
Rithlutducim, "Waxworks," a copper ring. It is encrusted with tetrahedrite and encircled with bands of copper, rope reed fiber, and cave spider silk. It is adorned with hanging rings of clear zircon and cave spider silk and it menaces with spikes of clear zircon. Depicted on the ring(somehow) is a mountain titan striking down an elf, in tetrahedrite.
I'm not sure why, but this ring just seems awesome to me. =D Can't wait until my fort collapses and I can get it in Adventure Mode.

a spiked golden warhammer. Sure, i had adamantine weaponry twice, but really this warhammer was the bane of all goblin sieges.

However, this fresh, just 10 minutes old artifact is starting to become my next favorite.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Engravings of elf killings? Check. Engraving of an artifact which has an engraving of another artifact? Check.
And with four different kind of spikes on it, getting stabbed with this has got to hurt.

The forgotten beast it killed was a microcline quadruple with deadly dust, no casualties.

EDIT: The next artifact, a fungiwood figurine, featured an engraving of the sword.

Dredged Oil The Everlasting Siege:A silver flask, engraved with multiple images in leather, encircled with steel, and alot of cloth on it.  It was immediatly grabbed by my Military Commander, and is now holding 10 dwarven wine.  (Worth 550,000 dwarfbucks.)

my fort is quite new, so nothing amazing, but my two best artefacts are:

Minedabbling the raw oar: a trifle pewter mace.  Its decorated with bands of pig leather, wolf leather and trifle pewter. (Well, its not very good, but im not sure if trifle pewter makes a good mace, as you can't normally make weapons out of it)

Crowntrailed the aching strength: an iron mail shirt.  It menaces with spikes of gneiss, and has an image in it in iron, of elves and humans fighting.
