Maybe a bit offtopic but i`ll ask. My dorf just made an artifact door. So the question is: if its can be destroyed by, say, Titan? I want to place it on my entrance so noone can get it when door is locked!

It can be destroyed and that would make the dwarf in question quite sad.

Gamilbufut Sheget Kethil: Trusttusk the Horn of Principle, a raw adamantine bracelet

Value: 768000
Weight: 1 ( ???)

This is a raw adamantine bracelet. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is encrusted with ruby and star ruby.(I still dont know where the heck my dwarves got these rubies). On the item is an image of Stukos Woundlashed the dwarf and a palm bed in raw adamantine. Stukos Woundlashed is raising the palm bed. The artwork relates to the masterful palm bed created by the dwarf Stukos Woundlashed for The Purple Mirror at Truthceilings in the early winter of 403. On the item is an image of a forgotten beast in ruby.

This item was an exeception, my dwarves mostly made lame artifacts like lignite millstone,  Dulledexits

Bit heavy on the Obsidian, eh? I know Oraclepaddle is nestled inside a obsidian mountain, but that's no reason for the maker to have gone overboard...

I can think of a few, but one of my most recent ones is also one of the more valuable artifacts I've yet had.

One is from the volcano fortress of Hammerowns: Sil Rober, "The Planes of Wiping", is a horse leather shield worth 50,040 dorfbucks. It is decorated with horse leather and encircled with bands of malachite. It menaces with spikes of fungiwood. On the item is an image of Nish Roadchannels the dwarf and dwarves in iron. The dorfs are refusing Nish, who is making a plaintive gesture. It relates to the removal of Nish Roadchannels from the position of outpost liaison of the dipped arrow in the early winter of 7.

On the item is an image of "Romancetrammled" the iron left in rose quartz.

On the item is an image of "The Planes of Wiping" the horse leather shield in red spinel.

On the item is an image of mountains in native copper.

Vunomrikkir - Lungwhiskered - A steel spear
This is a steel spear. All craftdwarfship is of the highest quality. (100800 $D)
On the item is an image of a dimple cup in steel.

Considering this was made out of the first steel bar I made in the fortress and this being the second artifact altogether, i consider this to be pretty damn near the best i've ever had.

I just can't get over the dimple cup as decoration.. I swear that dwarf must have had some hippies in his bloodline somewhere.

A gem statue of the first monarch of the fort's home civ, with a recursive image to boot. Pure awesome. Going right into my throne room area.

A man would see that as a difficult challenge.
An elf would see that and despair.
A dwarf would see that and say, "Bring it on."

I just used all my metal (25 pieces of iron, it's a young fort) to create a quantum artifact spear. a 321,600* thing of beauty. She'll be assigned to my militia commander once I get a squad up and running.

Goblins and filthy kobold thieves will die by the very thing they came to steal. My fortress will be filled with engravings of it piercing attackers. This is gonna be awesome as shit.

I've not been around for long, so this is my best to date (and it has to make me laugh - my Mason took ages making it):

Mangudiz Kebon Igam, Lashedpresent the Odors of Gorging, a bituminous coal floodgate (seriously?)

a Staggering 45,600 DD

"This is a bituminous coal floodgate. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality.  It is encrusted with bituminous coal, decorated with horse bone, mahogany and highwood and circled with bands of horse leather.  This object menaces with spikes of llama bone. On the item is an image of a goblet in steel. On the item is an image of two forgotten beasts in horse leather."

An adamantine shield with a depiction of an elf getting his ass handed to him by a bronze colossus in raw adamantine and encrusted with some gems and spikes and stuff.

Was worth around 1.4 million.

You would think dwarves would be able to stab enemies with the spikes on their shields.
