Nvm, savescummed and went back a couple months.  Not worth losing one of my fortress' most popular dwarves.

Do you always look at it in ASCII?

You get used to it, I don't even see the ASCII.  All I see is blacksmith, miner, goblin.

An artifact gold throne (I forget the name) decorated with electrum and zircons in one of my older forts. Also there was the (slightly Planepacked) crown carved from yellow zircon called The Equal Jewel, and worth about a million dorfbucks. Although I abandoned that fort due to FPS, in my new fort the engravers like to put pictures of it everywhere.

I like to imagine that it's the lost crown of Dwarfdom, like Durin's Crown or suchlike. One day when I get into adventure mode, I'll head back to the old fort to try and recover it.

Socks inspire the same sort of emotions in dwarfs that Helen of Troy inspired in the Achaean Greeks. Although it is said that Helen's face launched a thousand ships, socks have surely launched a million ultimately-fatal Store Owned Item tasks.

Or maybe there's a god who's just completely insane and sends you to Detroit, Michigan in a new body if you ever utter the name "Pat Sajak".

No specifics because I can't be bothered getting a screenshot, but I just got my first 2 artifacts in a new fortress, and they are both artifact Steel Battle Axes! One was a fey weaponsmith and the other was a possession. Now if I can just get my military to use them.

This guy gets it, the problem with the child torture dungeon is that they weren't set on fire first.

This was later featured on several other artifacts, from different fortresses. I'm also blaming it for the 40+ goblins and the dozen trolls that besieged and destroyed the fortress.

First one in my current fort is ''Fungusimpaled The Accidental Scenario'. It's a coffin, making the name somehow entirely appropriate.

I can think of several plots involving fungiwood spikes and levers, for some reason...
