http://lkbm.ecritters.biz/cotw/.  You can get both versions there. Rick Saada decided to give it away.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

Loom is totally not obscure.  We were playing the original Monkey Island the other day and, yeah, one of the NPCs totally pimps Loom in-character.

It didn't used to be obscure anyway  :( It's a good game by a well known company.

My most obscure were probably some old Mac games.  "Movod" is one that some people might actually remember.  I wish I could find the others, but they were part of some disc full of tons of games...like a really neat Nibbles clone where you actually had a health bar so biting your tail off wasn't instant death, and a massive world you could explore.

It was quite good for its price(Nothing)

A couple of awesome old games I rediscovered lately-

The original Little Big Adventure (also known as Relentless), and an old precursor to Dungeon Keeper called Dominus.

THE ORIGINAL LITTLE BIG ADVENTURE WAS AWESOME.

And it had awesome music.    :D

That was such a good game.  Except that jumping puzzles in 3/4 view suck.  But it is one of my favorite games of all time.  I was just meaning to see if I could get it to work in newer versions of Dosbox...

That game had suck a cool plot.  And how can you argue with a villain named Dr. Funfrock?

Edit:  Anyone played the sequel?  Is it any good?

Exile or maybe "Return to Marblestone Manor" I think it was called, was a c64 game.

And I have played the sequel.  It takes LBA some new places, but it pretty much has everything that made you love the first one plus some new cool stuff.  And the same music only better  :)  I'm downloading that next.

Cheese Toast (Mac)

It came on a commercial CD of miscellaneous freeware / shareware games.

Strange things on this CD:

A walkthrough for a text adventure game which was not itself on the CD
Prince of Destruction
A game called something like "Pork Barrel" where money drops from the top of the screen and you have to catch it in your oil-barrel looking thing. I guess it was meant to be political.

Marble Madness.

Actually, I've played a bunch of really obscure games, but they're so obscure I've forgotten them :P

Probably the game Knights of Legend which IMO has a combat system very similar to DF Adventure mode although much, much, much less stream lined.

I never managed to complete a single quest in the game and had no idea what the story was about to be honest.

But I had fun for hours breaking arms and cutting off heads in combat before eventually succumbing to my doom. Any one else play and remember that game? Know any games with similar combat because I'd be interested in playing it.

Of all the obscure games I've played... probably Millennia: Altered Destinies. Bloody thing doesn't even have a real walkthrough on the internet. Searching for one merely returns some tips from the manual or something.

And it was a pretty fun (although difficult) strategy/adventure game about time travel and altering events in time in non-linear fashion (as non-linear as time, which is linear, allows).

I've still no idea what to do when I meet myself or what what my other self says means.

But I had fun for hours breaking arms and cutting off heads in combat before eventually succumbing to my doom. Any one else play and remember that game? Know any games with similar combat because I'd be interested in playing it.
I remember it. The UI was really sluggish and made combat overly long. My other problem with combat was that it was simultaneous turn-based and I frustratingly often ended up attacking air when trying to fight fleeing enemies. :C

But it was fun when it worked right. :P

Closest combat systems I can recall were Unreal World's and possibly Fallout's due to called shots at different body parts, but they're both traditional turn-based and not party-based.

I'm not sure entirely what I've played that was massively obscure...

However Humvee Assault comes to mind, the game kinda sucks in my opinion.

Duke Nukem II. Sure it may be a major game franchise, but that was only after it went 3D from what I've seen. The original sidescrolling shooter was my game of choice.

And this game with a magic carpet with no real connection with any Disney movie that was in first person. And was awesome.

This is quite an old topic...

I think the most obscure game I've played is Ufouria on the NES. Never finished it but it was cool.
