I'd (still) like to play (though I need to go to a storage bin to get my discs) but I only have BG2 + ToB at present. I'd love to try multiplayer for the first time.

Depending on how long this takes to start up, I might even be able to get the original Baldur's Gate. (I wish GOG.com offered it, actually.)

But what class to be? I'll either be a Berserker or Kensai, or a Wizard, more likely than not. I like to be either on the very front lines or in the very back, nowhere in between!

I'll join, I haven't actually played the game in a long time so I might have to take a refresher course before we start.

I think maybe you should use that program that creates a virtual network (cant remember the name of it, think it started with H) so you know when everyone is online. It might make it alot easier to set up a multiplayer game.

I've got both games, though I happen to lack ToB... I'd like to join up if there's room still.

I'm currently seeing if I can run Baldur's Gate over Hamachi in XP using VirtualBox in Arch Linux. If my unique setup works, count me in.

[EDIT] Yay, it seems to work.

[EDIT] WOO! I haven't even left Cloudkeep and I broke a warhammer! Critical miss on a rat... I'm a female Half-elf Cleric/Ranger with dual warhammers.

You... you broke a warhammer? On a rat? The Dwarves would be proud!

Well, it seems like we have a varying array of expansion packs and sequels. I'm not sure how Tutu works regarding all this. I trust Kagus knows as the realm of BG modding is terrifying to me.

Tutu won't work if we have it installed with different configurations (so far as I know.  Never modded BG before, so I'm just as lost).  But I don't think it cares if we just have the different games installed on the computer, it only cares what the configuration is the same.

I don't have any expansion packs, just BG1 and BG2.  I won't be able to play with ToB users unless I acquire a copy of ToB.  It's possible, but I'd rather not...  Depends on how much the others want to play using ToB.

I believe Tutu has a list of options when you install it where you select which games you have...  So long as we all have the same deal there, I'm pretty sure we can play.

Hamachi is another deal, as I have absolutely no experience with it.

Well if more people want to play the whole thing as in including the expansions i would gladly make an iso of them an send them to you kagus. (I already have them all installed so i guess i would have to uninstall the expansions)

Like I said, I don't think it cares if you've got the stuff installed.  Just tell it you've only got the "vanilla" ones and have it install Tutu like that, and it should match up with anyone else doing the same.

I have BG2 too now. Were there any actual tries to play together already?

Not yet no, were all just trying to sort out who wants to play what and some other bits. Also we need to figure out a good time so that everyone is online.
