Okay i have a simple question concerning magma pipes. What is the rate at which they refill? as in 1/7 of a tile every x seconds/minutes etc...

From my (limited, though decent) experience, its... quite odd. Sometimes i've noticed it increasing by single units. Other times i've seen pipes that were 1/7 deep have magma 'bubble' to the surface (aka, a tile suddenly turns [7/7], then equalizes with the rest of the vent.)
