The great thing is that this means there are 10 toady working on the game... Maybe that is a sign of how soon the game is going to be released now!

Anyhow my prediction? 4 years

But we all know Toady likes to work on the game solo.  Even if they are all Toady One's its still multiple peoples working on it.  They'll probably all want to code the fun stuff and try to leave it to the others to code and it will devolve into clone arguments.

And then of course we all know clones like to eat brains and have psychokinesis so it will likely devolve into a weird flying around force manipulating war that will last years until the most evil one beats the others and moves on to rule the world.

Then after 5 years of evil Toady clone tyranny (Known by the lower class as "Toady Thirteen's rule") the real Toady one will go on a solo commando assassination mission with only a crossbow, some guinea pig bone bolts and some butterflies in a backpack.  Then we will be saved and the next version will be released..

I'm pretty sure Toady wouldn't be happy with anything less than an Adamantium bed decorated with mermaid bone, at least three types of large gem, dragon leather, giant spider silk... atop a floor made out of hydra tallow soap. I'm not even sure such a furniture abomination can exist, but its still what Toady wants.

As of now toady has 16 clones and he now outnumbers Stardock's team on Elemental. Exepect the next version to include several metric tons of cel shaders.

Since now we have the Future of the Fortress: List of Remaining Items thread, I think that it's easier to predict the next release date now.
Interesting, most of the players voted for "Not right now, early 2009 most likely.  70 (38.3%)" when the topic was created. [I've also voted for this.. ]
It looks like that those people were correct, who voted for "Mid 2009...  10 (5.5%)".
So, that being said, I vote for may or june now [mid 2009].
