I go from town to town talking to people, asking them if they need any services done and all I ever get is either: A) No, B) Go talk to the priest (Which never has any quests, he just rants about how awesome his god is). This is of course with the exception of the mayor, the only person I have found that gives any quests at all and only ever one unless there is a war going on.

So what am I doing wrong? Does my world really just have no problems at all and everyone holds hands under rainbows or some crap?

 As it currently stands, only mayors and druids give you quests. There are no rewards for completing them other than being able to have more adventurer companions.

Totally possible your world is at peace. I have one I'm using at the moment that seems to be that way at first glance. No wars going on, but a complete badass demon rules the world and holds it in an iron grasp. Everyone is at peace, too scared to fight.

My objective is to eventually kill the demon.

Yours? I don't know. Skip quests and run around in terrifying areas and kil things. Go on a rampage and wipe out towns. Or gen a world with a ton of wars going on and have fun there.

You can also get quest from civilization leaders, though.

Start in one civ, go over and slaughter a few people from another, then go back to your own and retire. Repeat a bit, then make a guy in the other civ. Behold, quests to kill your old adventurers.

I have a pocket map with two human civs, one in the middle of purple hills, the other in mellow plains. I do that all the time there.

I love doing this, but have had a problem getting the quest nowadays. They still say they're untroubled, even after five people were killed by one dude. Did you get the quests from the site leader?

Yep. Though, really, you know what you have to do. Would you really need quests?

That aside, maybe they were just too depressed to be troubled, once the eighth or so homocidical maniac came by. It'd be like a festival, except instead of confetti and marching bands there would be blood and killing sprees.
