Wow, I got a lot of cephropoids....  The normal one, the blaster, the matriarch, the queen, the protector...  I wonder if life stages can be programmed to go like that...

I'll show them later, this cellphone connection is too slow even for that.

There's no actual "stages". There're points which you use to acquire parts. And I think that you can use the premade creature instead if you have enough points to "afford" it.

I will try to buy the full version in the nearest future. i want all those beaks-tentacles and all.

This is my archeopterix:

It definitely needs more features.

This is my 2nd attempt on humanoid, now with feminine features:

The multipost is intentional: I want to differentiate my pics from others'.
Look at this, this is made by other guys with the full version:

Hey Deon, you know if you post the pictures from the creature folder people can drag and drop them into the CC and see the creature themselves.

EDIT: Heh, It was already posted earlier on.

Guys Guys Guys, awesome fact you may not have realised.
In the "My spore creations" folder in documents are your save files.

These save files are .PNG files.

These .PNG files are the perfect size for forum posting and they count as saves if you stick them in said folder.

Therefore I propose that from now on we only use these images.
Because that will save having to scroll as much.

Example (and also all my current best saves):

These images are all save files and fit eight in less space than previous posts have had one image.
Enjoy!

Yeah I know it.
But I will finish archeopterix and humanoid after I get the full version and then post them here.
Previous creatures I posted were PNG so you may test them.
And the cool guys from the last post are screenies and they're from the full version (so not suitable for trial).

I've tried to put full-version creatures in the trial version.  They don't show up the Sporepedia.  Darn...

How do you shape the bodies in spore? There must be something I'm missing. I can warp them with the spine, but I can't seem to be able to shape them much more than that.

Also when I play, my previous creations aren't showing up in the sporepedia, even though the numbers suggest that they are there.

I had lost interest in spore for a while because I thought there would be no way it would run on my ageing laptop, but the creature creature seems to run fine. I guess I'll have to wait and see. :)

You can increase the size of vertebrae with the mouse wheel

Click the main body, you'll see spine "bones". Hover with mouse over one and use up/down mouse wheel rotation to make the rib fatter/thinner thus thickening/slimming the body segment.
Use red arrows to add more spine bones or remove unneeded.

You can make bigger/smaller almost every body part: for limbs it's joints, hover over them and use scroll to shape them, other bodyparts are resized by hovering over them and mousewheeling too.

Thanks. I was just using the touchpad on my laptop. I guess I'll have to dig out my mouse to really get the hang of it. It looks like fun so far.

I should have stayed away from this! It's going to be a long wait for september!

Got the full version.

Are the servers meant to be up? because I can still only see my creations.

I found out some good news, those with the trial version if you go onto whatever torrent site you use then you should be able to find a file that you can "borrow" to unlock up to 50% of the parts. Look for the file called CSA_main.package and its roughly 95mb although it might show up as 70mb if its in a rar file.

So I have paid for the full version of the creature creator, and now I wish I hadn't.
It seems that to actually download the creature creator, I must install a program called EA Download Manager. Good enough.
I downloaded and ran the executable. It game me an error.
Quote
Error 1931.The Windows Installer service cannot update the sytem file C:WINDOWSsystem32winhttp.dll because the file is protected by Windows. You may need to update your operating system for this program to work correctly
[OK] [Cancel]
So I click OK, and the rest of the installation goes according to plan. However, when I run the Download Manager, it has my email in the top right corner, the EA logo with "Download manager" and settings and help below that in the top left, EA store in the bottom left-hand corner, and a resize-thing in the bottom right. However, the middle part, that I assume is supposed to show me what games I have paid for and can download, is blank. It's just white. Nothing.
I've done a bit of googling and screwed around a bit, trying to manually update the winhttp.dll file with one I found online that appears to be a newer version, but nothing seems to fix it.
Help?

Oh, and I'm running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1.
I'm thinking it might help to upgrade to SP2, but that proves... troublesome, as I believe there's that pesky Windows Genuine Advantage thing, that I'd really rather not provoke the wrath of.
