Your computer does not meet the minimum graphical requirements to run Spore.

Someone post proof that they axed the water stage.
Lots of people are saying that there is no official confirmation of that and I think that they might be right.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, I don't have time to read the whole thread.

Are they still doing that crap where you have to be connected to the internet for the game to confirm that your copy is legit every ten days?  Because I was going to buy it, but if they're doing that then I won't.  First off, if they ever decide to take down the servers, the game will become unplayable even though you paid for it.  Second, I'll be moving to a tiny school in Switzerland soon and I won't have internet most of the time, so I wouldn't be able to play it, even though I paid for it.  To hell with that...

But if they have changed their minds about that, maybe I'll buy it after all.

In one of the early videos Will Wright said water was "on the cusp of being cut out", and in later videos there's no evidence of a water stage at all.  Creatures come out of the water looking exactly like they did in the cell stage.

I've got a wierd problem with one of my creatures, all of the other creatures I've uploaded are uploading fine, but my hydralisk refuses to correctly upload, and I haven't a clue why. Any ideas as to what is causing this and how it could be fixed?
thanks for the help chao, that is what fixed it :)
On another note, that elephant is amazing, didn't think you would be able to properly replicate one in this. all the other creatures are great, as well.

It's because my superior Hydralisk sees it and instantly decapitates it

I honestly have no idea.
Some people on Facepunch said that sometimes closing and re-opening the editor fixes that.

I would be willing to bet money there aren't any water creatures.

First they talk about the aquatic stage which each animal must pass before getting onto land, then there's an update talking about how you can choose to go on land or stay in the water, and now there are rumors about them cutting it out entirely?  Yeesh.  I wanted a city of squidmen.

Me too Kagus.

I guess I'm going to have to have zerglings instead.
Or hydralisks.
I can't choose which D:
