Increase your population cap to 5000. Try providing food and entertainment for all of those dwarves. :P
Then watch for a steaming hot liquid coming from your computer tower. See that? That is your processor on DF overdose.

nuclear catsplosion.

add a low boiling point for cat bones.

And do that with every other domestic creature in your fort.  If that doesn't do the trick, make a nuclear dwarfsplosion >:D
I'm using that smiley a lot lately.

nuclear goblinsplosions could make segies/ambushes more interesting, especially if the goblins themselves don't burn.

Even better.

Are you suggesting that goblins should assault you being living explosions?

I'm suggesting that, as spirits of fire can assault you while basically on fire and not get hurt by it, goblins could do the same. Only exploding.

see, a key component of nuclear creaturesplosions is that when somthing is broken (yellow or red, i think) it flies off as though it were deep grey. by not burning to death (like hotter spirits of fire) the only thing that could do that is traps, marksdwarfs, or implausibly strong other dwarves. so they'll only explode near important things.

Get the king and abandon, so it'll become a mountainhome. Rinse and repeat until every region square in the world has an intact fortress.

Ooooh that's an idea

Fill the place with cage traps. Catch a ton of goblins. Then line up the front of the fort with cages, and connect to a lever.

Whenever you wish, tug the leaver. BAM, the largest siege...ever.

i will be lucky to get an ambush in 2 hours of playing.
It would take a LOOOOONG time to trap enough goblins to make a enough siege, let alone set up all the cages to a lever.

Just assign your self to a MEgaproject.

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)
