Some one should make a community or succession fort with all cats modified into boomcats.  >:D

Boomkobolds also sneak onto your map and kersplode, setting fire to everything..  with no announcements whatsoever until an unlucky dwarf gets caught in the hellfire, and by that point, it's too late.

I just had a thought; what happens if a caravan brings a caged boomcat?

I'm pretty sure it'd just be a dead boomcat in a cage. Possibly with about 100 body parts too. I don't think the cage can burn from within.

I'm pretty sure it'd just be a LIVE boomcat in a cage.
They're alternate dimensions.  They protect against every kind of death from within
The only ways to kill something in a cage are to destroy the cage or let it out.

As jaybud4 noted a few posts above, you want the unintuitively named "EXTRAVISION." Bronze Colossi have it.

That, or you want to remove the cats' eyes from their BODY. I'm not 100% sure what you meant. Just guessing.

Now add a nuclear stone drop on death - shoot make it drop alcohol on death!

But yes, boomcats in cages would be living. That's the whole 'siege defense' part of the mod. You can build it and attach it to a lever and pull the lever when the goblins get close.

I just tried catsplosion myself in an elven forest retreat.  But the boom didn't go far because I started in the bottom of a valley. Only one of 70 dwarves survived.

Has any one else noticed that the trees are unharmed afterward?

That's interesting, because I had a dead human goblin civ leader in a cage after one siege. He was alive and untouched upon going in. I never did figure that one out. There weren't any weapon or stone traps for miles, and my military dwarves were stationed well out of sight. The dwarven guard that came with the siege was captured without a problem as well. I can only guess he was carrying cyanide pills.

Any reason it can't drop another boomcat?

(or, more appropriately, have it just hot enough to kill itself, not start a fire, and call it boomcat5)

Trees survive because they're a special case of walls.
Indestructible other then being cut down by woodcutter dwarves.

So they're basically walls that you need a skill to deconstruct? Awesome, this means I can use trees as walls for holding magma. ;D
