Description: The
Golems are a race of sentient magic-powered statues that can be made of almost any material imaginable. Their creator is not known and even if it was these free-spirited Golems would never openly accept to acknowledge anyone of a different species as their 'master'. Golems do not eat, drink, or sleep, and do not reproduce as other creatures. Instead, they require daily maintainance and materials to power there magical metabolisms, and increase their numbers by building more of themselves. Golem society is normally divided into the lower, worker golems and the much more important Noble golems. These different social levels are determined almost solely by the material and shape of a certain golems, so deformed brass golems would be considered much inferior to wonderfully sculpted jewel-encrusted gold golems. Golems also appreciate art and knowledge, especially magical knowledge, but are somewhat lacking in good military structure, as they have never had to defend themselves from hostilities. Golems prefer to live in mountains and deserts, so that they are close to the materials (stone, ore, and sand for glass) they normally consume and use to build more of their kind, as well as use to build there architecture. Finally, golems are normally humanoidal in shape and about 2 meters high and made of metal or stone, but they can be built in any imaginable shape and size and almost any material if they are needed for specific tasks.
