I don't think you can transform the land at will without the power to do so. From what I can see from your Species, it doesn't have that ability... Yet. So good luck trying to transform land at the start.

Verinaath, Serpent of Fortune and Vengence

The demigod Verinaath sees profit and gain in all things, and considers any opportunity not seized to be a weakness in the world.  Business, theft, trade, conquest - all are avenues to wealth and control.  Verinaath will gladly lend his influence to any with a dream of enterprise, and will force his way into any transaction he is not invited to.  In the end, Verinaath has no greater goals or objectives - power is an end in itself, and the greatest end of all.

By his opportunistic nature, Verinaath is utterly capricious.  He will latch onto those he favors, blessing them equally with dubious gifts and calamities to spur initiative.  Those he calls foe will be hounded mercilessly, wanton slaughter being a great business reputation, until such time as Verinaath has a use for them and will then sue for peace with all he's worth.  Both egotistical and immortal, there is no telling how he will react to any approach - a gift may be taken with full thanks or be seen as weakness, a threat may garner kindred respect or burning rage.  When dealing with mortals, Verinaath enjoys appearing in person or direct possession, debating and cajoling in the low vernacular of whoever or whatever he is dealing with.

Verinaath appears in form as a great muscular reptile covered in metallic scales.  He gestures and grips with six clawed limbs, and sees all with six baleful eyes.
