Very dissapointing that decapitations deprive you of your trophies.

^^^ I don't think so -- I'm pretty sure the skull stays with the body.  A related problem is that it doesn't matter how many limbs have been chopped off, you still get a full stack of bones by butchering the corpse, and then you can get extra bones by butchering the limbs.

Guess I've been giving the game too much credit.
Maybe Toady will spruce up the resource-management of bones while he's going crazy for the next update.
Hell, maybe he'll make butchery produce more than "meat"
