This is awesome. We need to find a way to selectively breed these things into serious fish-monsters, and then we can put them in the Rio Grande. Illegal immigration through the river can be filmed, and America will have it's next top reality TV show!!

 Indeed. I was excited when I first heard about American Gladiator, thinking they would be similar.

 Also note, Catfish are one of the species of fish that can use electric organs. Mostly for detecting prey, but the fact that they are electric...

So we got mutant fishes that eat people, zap them and according to folklore can detect/create earthquakes.
