« on: October 09, 2008, 12:13:08 am »

So... I've got peasants wandering around, and suddenly going unconscious. On the surface. is it heatstroke? I am in a hot desert....

I also Have  legendary clothesmaker who refuses  to make clothes. I have clothesmaking enabled for her.

...
No....
Lazy peasants!

But they don't display Sleep as thier job.  Other times, they do, but that's always on the barracks floor, not out on the sand/obsidiian.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

At least one of the relevant peasants is missing an eye. That might be it. Phantom pain. Yay, scarring in the next version.

I have a problem with the miller/dyer/weaver getting stunned by the quern. I wonder what that means

No injuries either

Maybe he's allergic to work? Or he's bashing his hand against the quern while milling.

Querns might exercise dwarves the same way pumps do, according to the wiki.  You know all those 'Urist Mcwimpy cancels Operate pump: Exhausted' messages? It's probably the same sort of thing.

Yeah, but querns are different than pumps in that they aren't continuous. Each job is a single task. I'd try assigning a dwarf with uber-stats to quern duty and see if he has the same problems.
