All right, unless I have to fix up fatal crash bugs and that sort of nonsense, THIS is the last pure graphics/speed release for a while.  That doesn't mean I won't try to continue on the texture and other problems a bit -- I've taken a stab at Darkon's and I'm reading up for Demon's (not much yet).

To fully take advantage of the newest changes (and if you are still having speed trouble), try messing with the init file (that is, the options).  If you set both near and far meshes to 1/32 detail and turn off creature models, and it is STILL painfully slow, I'm honestly not sure what to do to get any more out of it.  There might be a few more OpenGL tweaks out there, but I've found most of the big ones.

Let me know if something blows up.
