undead resurrect on loading game

I'm playing fortress mode on a map with small evil area on edge. There are skeletal horses wandering around, but every time I save and reload, they are transformed into normal horses.

The truly amazing thing for me here is that a 6 page thread can be created of exceedingly high quality, simply because a group of manic depressive, schizophrenic midgets were able to milk a cow.

Or better yet, getting rid of those skeletal fishes invading my fort in the firs week.

amjh, you should upload the saved game to somewhere. Toady must check these bugs "in action", in order to fix them.  :)
Also you forgot the tell that what version were you playing with.

edit:
doesn't seem to work on skeletal groundhogs.

edit2:
ranger hunted the skeletal groundhogs and got normal groundhog corpses.
weird.

So how exactly does this work?  If there is a skeletal horse wandering around, will it be normal when you save/load, or are you talking about new creatures entering from the edge of the map after a load?  Are the normal horses still missing all of their organs?
