Fun fact - housecats attacks do exactly the same amount of damage as untrained dogs in vanilla df.

I place my faith in fiery kitten sacrifices to the magma gods - they haven't let me down yet!

could you mod kittens to release a splash of magma when they die or somehow make kitten chucks burn at a high temperature?  would be funny to chain some up at front gates and watch hilarity insue when goblins go to cut em up.

I know there was once some problem with improperly modded animals dropping zero-temp skin with a zero-temp boiling point upon butcher, with the poor butcher being flash-frozen in a cloud of absolute-zero steam from the boiling skin, so I'd say it's rather probably.

I also recall fire imp butchering products setting butchers/haulers on fire in the past.

If they've been in magma for a while, killed, and then butchered, it happens.

If they've been sitting around in a room for a while, it usually doesn't catch anything on fire.

It is a proven fact that vikings never wore helmets with horns on them, so fail.

While I can't comment on the accuracy of this statement, I can say that I am a huge Nordic mythology buff and there are indeed paintings of Woden with the stereotypical viking horn helmet. Whether or not standard norsemen wore this sort of helmet is out of my realm of expertise. :)

Everyone should see this video.

You could use modded exploding cats, and then make sure not to bring any on embark.  Then you could request cats from all the caravans, to get them in cages.  Then build the cages out in the field, and link them to a pressure plate or lever.  Then you trigger the cage for awesome.
This assumes that creatures in cages won't burst into flames anyways, which they might.

That should work, actually. Only problem would be occasional immigrants showing up with them and having them blow a hole in your immigration wave.

Modern paintings?  That wouldn't mean much.
