But...  what will you do without socks!!?!?

I'll take a Seige operator/engineer named Korik.

He likes to shoot rocks.   At walls.
One does not ask why...

Ooh, this sounds like fun.
Name: Aina
Jobs: Mechanic, Weaponsmith, Bowyer, Siege Engineer.
She should be very enthusiastic about weapons... and weapon accessories...

Please, do so! Its much more fun that way and involves you guys as well!

Lugnut has been quiet lately, i'll check tomorrow. She should be fine, but was unhappy before, due to the spearmans death. Poor fellow...

..That one caught me off guard.  Okay, that shouldn't be too hard.  Lastly, was the spearman a friend of hers?

Only in Dwarf Fortress would you try to catch a mermaid to butcher her and make trophies out of her bones

So how is Schmoop?
Is he butchering/trapping?

I'd like to see the results of his crafts.

Ok, ok, I'll do a major report on all characters:

Glacies:

More defences coming soon, as soon as I fix up the food and booze shortage!

Sukasa: Lugnut has been unhappy lately, because of the recent deaths and that I haven't dug out the bedrooms yet. I really should soon! And the spearman was a friend of hers. Sorry if female is not what you wanted, theres a large feminine presence in this fort!

Duke: Oooooo, Never thought of that... But they will come later, because I will give an explanation later on. Be paitent.

Webadict: You've been farming as fast aas you can! And brewing at times, cause we needed alcohol.

Kurisukun: Wish granted. He was training as a wrestler earlier, but I retired him out of the military, just for you!

Ibrukromlam Othör : Wish granted, you got one of the imagrant armoursmith/weaponsmith's.

Foa: Schmoop was training as a wrestler and a marksdwarf for quite awhile, before I retired him for a bit. Captain affy was using the beds in the barracks to break limbs... I'm actually thinking of putting him back on duty, to be honest.

Character profiles next!

Thoughts of 'Lugnut' Mirroredtrade, 3rd Hematite 302

..Why did I even survive?  All I've gotten so far is heartbreak and the loss of a good friend...  There's only one way to make up for this.

It's time I excercised my abilities.  I'll go tomorrow and talk to Zak about setting up a mechanics workshop and building some traps...  Maybe I can figure out a good way to pay those bastards back, it shouldn't be too hard to set up some interesting traps using a little stone...

I also would really like a chance to, you know, actually sleep nicely.

Lets do something useful to the foodstuffs supply, lets trap vermin!

First build 10 traps, then trap, and start butchering if need be, or allow trainers to make pets so they can get us some profit.
And Lugnut, if you want I'll make you some components, lets see if those bastards like Fighting for our amusement!

Also, when can I set up some ballistae, I hope to make some enemy choke points.

Journal of Zak:

18th of Malachite, Year 302, Mid-Summer

I have ordered the miners to dig out bedrooms for us all, including the 4 larger bedrooms for the administrating side of our society. I also plan on having the workshop floor cleared of clutter and having workshops built there, including a mechanics shop, much to the relief of Lugnut. To this end, I have undrafted a large amount of the military to help in hauling the stone out of needed rooms.

One of the original 24 was elected the mayor. A animal trainer I think. Anyway, he wants a proper office, dining room and bedroom. He's asking for a lot at the moment, when we are just trying to live...

A human caravan arrived to trade. We unloaded a lot of uneeded clothes and junk on them and got a lot of wood, food and a barrel of alcohol. Nice!

Lastly, one of the undrafted peasents has decided to try and make something. I've seen this type of thing before, when earlier our mason made a nice cabnet out of a single stone.

Looks like he wants cloth. I knew we should have bought some cloth before the humans left!
